Price really needs to figure out what he wants to do at this stage of his career- he’s unlikely to beat Hunter and any loss would set him back to square one again.

I’m getting annoyed with these half decent heavyweight fights propping up PPV cards- the last “major” heavyweight fight on Sky Sports was Allen/Browne wasn’t it?

Well Hearn did say it would be a heavyweight undercard with all of Hunter, Whyte,Povetkin, Price and Hrgovic all being mentioned.

Hunter would batter Price. I would rather see Hunter fight any of the other guys mentioned.

I don't even know if hes a millionaire yet. If he ain't ,I wouldn't take the fight unless there was big money on the table. He will get badly beaten.
He needs a big cash out to set him up for life, and I don't think this is it.

Whilst I reckon Hunter’s movement, workrate and willingness to have a fight would be too much for Price, it’s no certainty he would win. Price can box well when he’s working that jab and he can turn a fight on its head with one shot.

That said, if he can win convincingly it would be the perfect introduction for him to the casual audience.

He'll need to box like he did v Allen, of course Hunter is much better than Allen.
Surely if he sticks out the jab all night his huge size advantage will give him some chance.

Hunter is very good and will beat Price easily.

I like Price but this style is wrong for him.

How long have we been saying that though, Twenty? And he's still yet to do it above British level. I don't see that he's suddenly likely to do so now

True bud when you put it like that. He did chin Povetkin although obviously didn’t finish the job.

And that's ultimately his career peak. Rocking Povetkin. He got pasted the rest of the fight, pulled out against Kuzmin and struggled with Ali at times too. You could make arguments for all bar maybe 1 of Hunter's HW wins all being better than anything Price has done at the weight.

I will say that Pricey doesn't seem interested in turning any fights down, which is cool.

Price is British level at best and common sense dictates that he should stay there. However, he's a relatively high profile fighter and financially he will make more getting KO'd by the top guys on Box Office undercards than he would boxing the likes of Tom Little and Nathan Gorman. I like Pricey and he's earning his crust but I just hope he gets out without any serious damage as the likes of Hunter are a level or two above him.

He looked good and slick ish against that Brazilian but the amount of energy he’d have to expend getting inside Price’s reach would be massive. Price would catch most of them winging shots easy if he threw from the outside. I think Price would land something as Hunter comes in. Blown up cruiser don’t forget and Price is a giant. I know he beat Ustinov but he’s a robot. If he was a few inches taller i’d agree with you in saying he is all wrong for Price.

As a Price fan I’d rather see him fight Hunter than Dubois any day!! That would be suicide for his career. Think he’s pretty much admitted he’s looking to cash out though and you can’t blame him really. I’d just rather see him do it in semi interesting fights for the fans such as Fury, Chisora (know they’re mates) etc

Hunter had a poll on his twitter, Price , Povetkin, someone else and a Taxi Driver. Povetkin won by a distance and Hunter then tagged Hearn in and said get it made or something to that affect. Hunter beats Price up.

Just feed Whyte to Hunter already. Whyte might be on the undercard, just make it Whyte vs Hunter and we're good to go.

Ustinov would be Price's best win. Plus Bakole isn't exactly small either. I think we sometimes forget the levels Price has lost and struggled at. Teper is not a good fighter. Hammer is a uero level guy and also pretty small. Hunter just beat Kuzmin comfortably. He struggled against Sokolowski and Ali too.
