Lmao Duran would hurt Marquez. He'd absolutely smash him or school him. Duran at his best was ferocious counter puncher. On a completely different level to Marquez and Pacquiao

I go back and forth on this one. Two of my favorites. Hate to do it but I have this one a draw. Could see either guy winning.

Would have loved to have seen Duran - Aaron Pryor. Story is Pryor wanted SRL or Duran but they wanted no part of him. The Pryor who beat Alexis Arguello was a bad dude. I know there may have been substances involved but prime Pryor was a force of nature. I met him years later and he was a good guy who straightened his life out. His rein wasn’t long but for a brief sliver of time, he was one of the baddest little dudes on the planet. RIP champ.

Duran whoops Manny, a terrific counter puncher with very good defense, power & a terrific inside game.

I remember Joe Frazier once said that he had seen Roberto Duran fight. He said that Roberto was very scary during that fight, because his stare reminded him of Charles Manson. And Joe stated that Duran hit very hard, this was around the time that Roberto had just won the WBA World Lightweight Title. Joe did not say the name of that opponent, but I presume it was around 1972, or 1973.

Duran mixes pressure, with subtle defence like no other fighter.

In his prime not only was he ferocious, he was one crafty individual

I think the fight would be very competitive, as Manny has great speed and throws from strange angles, but Roberto would figure him out and slow him down with a body attack.

In a 15 round round fight, I think Roberto could force the stoppage.

In a 12 round fight, I think the safe bet is Duran on points.

I love Pacquiao, but he isn't beating a prime Roberto Duran

different level than Marquez yes. Not than Manny. The speed of Manny would give Duran many problems. Look up Leonard,Hearns and Benitez. I am not saying Manny would win, since he likes to engage and you don't give Duran opportunities, you keep him on the defensive and reaching and countering him. But you don't exchange with him and keep him in range. Manny would have to know this.

Oh, GOD! in 15 rounds Duran would go out on a stretcher and his face the size of a basketball. Pizza faced screaming, NO, MAS!

His best bet is this is a 12 rounds.

OF WAR and wins a close decision.

Since he is the darling favorite in fantasy fights.

Although I think Duran would win, people saying he would beat the **** out of Pac is a bit extreme. , as he is clearly a special fighter in his own right.

But it’s the internet and your either a god or a bum these days.

Duran probably takes this epic ATG fight but he better bring it cause Pac could easily upset him.
