In pure skill, who do you think is the best boxer ever, an absolute Maestro? Able to slip, duck, roll, negate and impose his IQ.

In my mind, Miguel Canto is the best for this pure boxing skill.

    How about you?

Start with Willie Pep, then procede to the rest. Ricardo Lopez was one I liked along with the usual suspects

Start with James J. corbett. Go to Papa Jack. Stop at the greatest ever Benny Leonard and then move to Willy Pep.

Would you consider Marco Antonio Barrera a pure boxer? I consider him a boxer puncher

Here’s my question...when we say the best ...are we talking about the greatest fighter who fit this style ...or the fighter who was the most effective at this style? I made a post about the best swarmer /pressure fighters ...and we had the same debate

Willie Pep was the greatest I have ever seen for the longest time - long duration of fights and time and enduring a plane crash comeback
