You notice no one was calling Kovalev shot until Canelo decided to fight him?

    According to the fanboy experts on here, Kovalev was twice robbed against Ward, once by the judges, once by foul....
    The only other loss on his record was handily avenged, and he's coming off a KO of a younger, stronger opponent..

    I'm sorry but you cant have it both ways... I do believe Kovalev is shot, but it was Ward who shot him, and it all started the moment he got up from the knockdown in first fight...

    We all need to take a deep breath and give credit where credit is due.

    Otherwise Canelo is simply fighting a guy with one loss on his record, which was avenged

    I don't think Kovalev is washed, but this is objectively false. Many have been saying this for a few years.

    I think a lot of people were saying he may be a bit past it after the first Alvarez fight.

    Maybe because he is shot compared to guys that actually pose a threat to him like his own division, not some ginger mexican midget thats jumping two or three weight clases

    I’m sure everyone else in this thread has reiterated it, but people have been saying Kovalev is shot for a long time, has absolutely nothing to do with him fighting Canelo.

    He is nowhere near the fighter he once was. I watched the cleverly fight the other day and forgot how fluid and fast he used to be.

    They have been saying he is shot.... When a fighter starts showing signs of decline.. People will say he looks shot.. It doesn't matter if he's fighting alvarez or anyone else... And the yarde fight proved it for me....looked like he was struggling to pull the trigger, his jab was exceptional as always but everything else besides his heart....im not sure about.

    No shame in slipping... He is 36
