You notice no one was calling Kovalev shot until Canelo decided to fight him?

They can’t believe that he’s taking on that type of challenge. Something has to be wrong with Kov.

 

Maybe its like seeing the cup half empty or half full, but in boxing its semi-shot or semi-good.

 

It started with Canelo will never fight Kovalev.
Canelo is just saying he will for publicity or negotiating tactics.

Similar to "The protected Canelo will not fight Mayweather, Lara, Trout, Golovkin, rematch Golovkin, Jacobs, and most recently Kovalev.

Now that he did, its because Kovalev is completely shot.

It makes no sense. The TS says NO ONE was calling Kov shot before this fight was announced...but HE says Kov is shot in the opening post

 

So basically what you're saying is that he is on the down side of his peak.

A better analogy would be the one that has always been used. Picture a mountain, the foothill of the mountain is when a fighter starts as a pro, is green and inexperienced, as he ascends the mountain he enters his prime and eventually PEAKS, once he gets over the peak he descends down, he is past his peak, still in his prime and eventually reaches the bottom of the mountain and is considered shot.

I don't see Kovalev as shot or semi shot as he is not at the bottom of his career, he is headed that way as all fighters do once they reach their peak, but he is still climbing down.
