If Ruiz wins the rematch it is likely that he vacates the IBF to face Wilder in the summer rather than fight mandatory Pulev in April/May.
Ortiz is a top 10 and arguably a top 5 HW. I didn't want this rematch, but let's not confuse this with Fury's recent choice of opponents. Wallin turned out to be decent, but they didn't choose him for that reason. And I agree with the poster above that Ortiz looked fat as hell. He'd better start training.
Wilder could be though.Nobody ever knows when Wilders gonna fight until he suddenly announces it a month or so beforehand?
Lol I’m not embarrassed watching him fight, that said I have to hide behind the couch when he’s on his ring walk dressed as Statue of Liberty in drag.
You just know that they are going to milk a third fight between the two. Likewise when fury wins the rematch. Wilder, however, won't hesitate to fight Ruiz if he beats Joshua in the Rematch. Cannot wait for the day when wilder loses and wishes he took the bigger fights. Sick and tired of watching him fight people who he can easily dispatch.
The first fight was good and well worth a watch, but the rematch is waste of time, and i’ll Not be watching it. I’ve not watched any of Wilder’s fights since he lost to Fury, he seems to be avoiding better fighters for easy fights. Hopefully Wilder fights Fury, Whyte, Povetkin, Pulev, Joshua, Ruiz, Parker or even Joe Joyce in his next fight. Look how many people in this list Wilder has not fought yet, that’s how bad his resume is, and why he is still a contender and not a champion.
In his prime, 25 years ago, Ortiz would have destroyed Windmill. But given how old and slow he is now this fight will be as predictable as a Joe Joyce interview.
