Pac is probably too old for these guys but don't act like Horn didn't have his ref helping him all night.
He’s fighting Egidijus Kavaliauskas next I believe which is a step in the right direction, but Bud is in a weird position in which he’s a 3 weight world champion, a top 5 P4P talent, yet has no stand out victories and sadly for him 135 and 140 where very weak at the time he ruled. He seems eager to fight Spence though, whether Arum and Haymon allow it are another thing.
Unfortunately for us Bud is stuck in a bit of a no man's land with Top Rank, where he can keep getting paid top dollar (cause Arum won't wanna lose him) to fight guys who aren't big names.
Has to be Errol Spence. I like Crawford but who has he fought up until this point in his career at any weight class? His only wins at WW are against Horn and a past his prime Khan who hasn't been a titleholder in so many years. Errol has wins over Brook and Porter at the division and he's the only unified champion at 147 right now. I don't understand some of the criticism Errol received for his performance last night. No one is going to look dominant against a guy like Porter. Shawn gave arguably his best performance as a pro last night (outside of his destruction of Malignaggi,) and Errol beat Shawn at his own fight. Landed about 50 more punches overall, 40 more power punches and they both threw about the same amount. I expect him to run through Garcia next and probably take on Thurman some time next year. CRawford shouldn't have resigned with Top Rank, they're going to waste his remaining years fighting lower tier guys in the division.
So, as usual, PBC does not want the fight but will make it so onerous for Crawford that it will look like he does not want the fight. If Spence is soooooo good than just make the fight 45/45 and the winner gets the extra 10%. Spence and PBC does NOT want to fight Crawford and they will make any excuse possible to not have to make it
Funny if 135 and 140 were "so weak" where was Mikey and Danny who both were able to make 135 or 140. Is it possible that Crawford was so dominant that others did not want to be in that division at that time?
Here here. Spence is becoming the man he loathed in Keith Thurman of a few years back. Keeps uttering words such as A Side, and build the fight, when Crawfords name is mentioned. Now I'm not saying Crawford definitely beats Spence, because the fights a toss up for me. But this A Side bs does my head in
One can make a case for: Spence, Crawford or Pac (crazy to say since he's 40). Let's just see them fight instead of doing ABC comparisons.
