Browner never lived up to the hype. His own hype. He tried to mimic the style and flash of the Mayweathers and Alis. He seemed to forget those guys could actually fight. He was a decent but not great fighter. Domestic violence. Brushes with the law. Hopefully he cleans up his act post boxing.
I’m sure Josh Taylor or someone similar would jump at the chance to pay Broner 1-2 million to 10-2 him.
He should've never left the LW division. He could've stayed down there and carved himself a very nice career taking on guys similar in size to him. Him moving up 2 weight classes and barely beating Paulie who was clearly the weakest WW alphabet title holder gave him a false sense of confidence on what he could do at that weight class. I will give him props in the sense that he is willing to take on anyone, so that's refreshing, but he should've stayed down at LW and worked his way up slowly through the weight classes. His win over Dimarco was very impressive and he could've change his trajectory had he not been so ambitious so soon.
I'd love it to be the case, but sadly I don't believe for one second that we've seen the last of this piece of slime in the ring.
Developmental disabilities are a real thing. One of the most embarrassing people ive ever had the displeasure of seeing in the media spotlight. Now by "bricks" does he mean the ones that fill the void where his brain should be?
I don't think he deserves it. Because of the 4 titles? What an insult on guys like Hearns, Duran ,Leonard, Whitaker. Those were real legends. Although Ray cheated for his 4 and 5 titles, he was a legend obviously.
