Jeff Fenech getting robbed on the cards in his first fight with Azumah Nelson. If he was rightly awarded the fight which he pretty well dominated then he would have been the first fighter to win titles in 4 weight classes as an undefeated fighter and be matched up with Sweet Pea in a mega fight in the US. Instead he rematched Nelson and his career plummeted!

Bowe throwing the WBC belt in the trash, a obvious one, but had he held onto it and fought Lewis, who knows where he could've ended up in the Division

Aussie Barry Michael claims an incident with a well known underworld figure in Melbourne virtually ended his career. I don't want to say too much in case I wake up with a horse's head in my bed...lol!

I like your Floyd-Castillo reference and Sturm was robbed v De La Utensils but Sturm hardly fought the rest of his career in obscurity. If defending your title numerous times, making millions in the process and becoming super famous in Germany is obscurity, I wouldn't mind some of that....lol!

Remember the Kenny Anderson fight, I think the fragility was probably always there but yeah the Frock KO didn't help! It was good to see him get a belt eventually.

Roy Jones Jr. getting robbed at the 88 Olympics. He would have had a totally different career trajectory had he won the gold. Much more money from the get go. Shorter road to a title. All not necessarily for the better. Never know how he would have dealt with it.

Axel Schulz had two of these so it’s hard to pick just one. Lost two close title fights: Was robbed against Foreman, and then the robbed again by a juiced up Francois Botha. Poor guy never did get that brass ring. Could’ve been the Heavyweight Champ, I suppose that qualifies as career changing.

I reckon Bowe would've won at that point in time, but Ill save it for another thread

To be honest, at the time I was a big fan of Bowe and not of Lewis. Bowe was obviously **** scared of him . Pity we didn't see it though.

When Fury vacated/was stripped of the belts after he beat Wlad

Gave a lot of HW's the chance to win a title, idk where the division would be today if that never happened

Paul Williams deciding to take his motorcycle to his brother's wedding. He'd just signed to fight Canelo a few days prior.

George Foreman agreeing that San Juan would be a nice place for a tuneup before fighting his rematch with Ali in Japan.

The top promoter in boxing at the time, Oscar De La Hoya, after being handed a pair of fishnets and heels, believing that 'what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.'

John Tate's people thinking a homecoming fight in Knoxville would be a nice treat for family and friends after agreeing to defend the title against Ali in Brazil.

Don King, after inviting the Klitschko brothers to his home, asking them if they'd like to hear him play the piano.

Tommy Morrison staring across the bar ... and being wrong when he decided, "She looks like a sweet Oklahoma girl."
