Good decision. He's taken a lot of damage but still seems pretty sharp. Bowing out now is the best thing to do. Thanks for all of the great fights and demonstrating the attitude and mindset that you did while fighting. Rare breed these days!

This news makes me happy. He’s always been a well spoken and seemingly nice guy. Glad that’s he’s walking away with his health seemingly in tact. Had a terrific career.

Weird observation: Don’t believe I’ve ever seen a guy with as narrow a face/skull as he has take a better punch. The man was tough as nails and very durable, a true warrior.

Good, that was a horrible fight to watch at the weekend because of the pasting he was getting. Great fighter to watch through his career

Glad to see it, he went out on his shield a number of times and gave everything he could. He deserves a coherent retirement.

When Molina shocked Bey it was one of the few times we saw Leonard Ellerbe gobsmacked it was very rare spectacle

Good decision, took too much punishment against Lopez.

So many retirements these days. First Dustin Nichols then Broner and now Molina too... I’m not sure I can handle this at this point.
