Because they're practically two different sports. Pros have trained to go 6,8,10,12 rounds, amateurs are trained for high-intensity 3 round fights. The top amateurs would beat the top pros in a 3 round fight ore often than not

How old are you, just out of curiosity? I like the way that you continue to discuss without getting defensive, but you’re clearly completely uneducated about the sport. If you can watch the semi-finals/finals of the recent worlds. You’ll find some good boxing. Look at the super heavy from Australia, Justis Huni. Explosive speed like Ruiz (probably faster), with excellent lateral movement/footwork plus head movement that Ruiz lacks. He’s what Ruiz would be if he was a lighter and a better athlete.

See you even fall into the idea that pro coaches are somehow better than amateur coaches. What do you think a pro coach knows that an amateur coach doesn’t? How did Anatoly Lomachenko coach his son, Usyk and Gvozdyk to be the fighters they are? How did Virgil Hunter get Andre Ward as an amateur to then go all the way as a pro? What pro coaches actually add something to their fighters? Most pro coaches are simply bucket-holders, motivational talkers. They don’t add anything from the amateur game. As I’ve pointed out, skills and technique are ingrained during development. Every boxer you see is that way because of their amateur development. Ward, GGG etc. are all the same as when they were amateurs. Usually just slower and less mobile, pacing themselves for the 12 rounds.

    The top top amateurs.

AJ's coach was (and I think still is) our Team GB coach. I thnik Loma's dad is the Ukranian team coach (Could be wrong)

But it`s all about knowing how to hit and not be hit aren`t the amateyrs just that, amateurs until they become more prffessional? They are still green.

They are the exceptions, but Loma`s team were and are far better than AJ`s team, AJ`s team are really amateur.

You don`t think any world title was harder for gold medalist to win than their olympic medal?

Tommy Hearns was nowhere near as good as an amateur as he was as a pro, he lost to Aaron Pryor and hadn`t developed his devastating power yet, Tyson lost to Biggs as an amateur, Teddy Atlas was Tyson`s trainer in the amateurs and Rooney improved Mike as a pro vastly, he was nowhere near as good in his pro debut as he was at compared to his peak v Spinks.

Nothing wrong with Ruiz`s head movement which he uses along with his gloves for defense, AJ was struggling to find an opening in Ruiz`s active guard, watch his gloves all the time during the fight with AJ, he`s also a better body puncher than any amateur, body punching isn`t that good in the amateyrs at all.

It depends on the opponent, but 99% of the time winning a gold medal was far harder.

Again, like Canelo and Pac we’re talking about someone very young. Tyson should have been improving until he was about 23. I can’t remember his timeline but that’s when he should have been at his best based on when he started.

Again, you simply have no idea about amateur boxing. You obviously haven’t watched it for a long time.
Look at the last fight of this video, the guy I mentioned - Justis Huni. That guy is all round more skilled than Ruiz is, and look at his body punching/uppercuts. He’s a better body puncher than Ruiz.

Then watch from 7:23:00 to 7:25:00. The Kazakh super heavy. Body punching isn’t good in the amateurs?
