The tricky, elusive and at times quite dirty (low blows if you watch LaPorte for example or throwing Johnny Aba out of the ring which resulted him not getting points deducted) ATG Eusebio Pedroza vs the awkward hard hitting southpaw Prince Naseem. I'll make this 15 rounds given the fact that Eusebio tends to come alive during the key championship rounds something what Salvador Sanchez, Ali, Arguello and Galindez have mastered from his time era. Pedroza is not a hard hitter but he is better technically sound than Naseem Hamed. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
I can see that scenario playing out, pedroza would handle the Naz storm, break him down and stop him in around 12 imo.
I consider Pedroza to be in a higher class. After some give and take Pedroza takes over. In a 15 rounder I believe he stops him late.
I agree if this hits the championship rounds of 13-15, Eusebio was one of the masters who excelled down the stretch. Many guys crumbled or couldn’t maintain the stamina necessary down this stretch. Hard to see a guy like Hamed who never encountered those 9 minutes being able to achieve that. I do think Hamed would have moments and perhaps over 12 making a close competitive fight. But I go with Eusebio stopping him in 13-15, while holding a slight lead on the cards as well.
This would be a nightmare for Hamed from the beginning to the end. Barrera smashing Hamed's face into the corner would be a bedtime story compared to what Pedroza would have in store for him.
Being quick, unorthodox and hitting hard can only get you so far when facing true World class competition at the top of their game as Hamed found out when Berrera schooled him. Prime Pedroza would school Berrera . And would absolutely humiliate and humble Hamed. Just a whole different class of fighter Pedroza was in comparison to Hamed.
Pedroza would outclass, beat up, and stop Hamed in a painfully one sided fight. Two different levels here.
