Should he have kissed her? Yeah probably not, especially on live tv. She was a groupie looking for fame & money though, that is not a slight on his character get real. Wasn't she hanging out with him and his crew post fight after the kiss?

Yes. He is a little boring. But Kownacki is no technician and only knows one way to fight. He will force a fight.

It might be entertaining. Pulev is past his prime and might not be able to keep Kownacki at the end of his jab. It would turn into, like all Kownacki fights, a brawl and a battle of wills.

Kownacki will continue down that path until he fights the top guys in the division, skilled and hard hitting enough to make him pay for that strategy.

This would be a hugely popular fight in Chicago though. It would sell out for sure.

I you can look past the alphabet soup paper title drama, this is a fight that would be good for boxing. It would put butts in the seats and sell tickets.

I say this because I think neither of these guys is a serious threat to the top few guys in the division.

It would be entertaining though and would definitely sell. You have to know Chicago a little bit.

    Emphasis on crazy.

I was at the Brewster-Golota fight in Chicago. When Golota lost, the Polish fans - close to 20,000 - went into full riot mode. They were so high after Adamek won the title on the undercard. But they wanted to kill Golota when he lost (I remember one guy yelling Golota 'shouldn't be allowed to breed' - which I thought was a little extreme). At the same time, they also didn't want anyone gloating that he lost. I passed a black guy on the staircase at the United Center who must've said the wrong thing because he'd gotten the living hell beaten out of him.

    But I'd go.

Pulev already beat Chisora without even switching gears. a better version of Kownacki. You don't need power to deter Kownacki. a few stinging jabs and right hands that cause his face to swell up will be enough.

I agree with this but it's a question of how much Pulev has left in the tank. No doubt Pulev is or at least was the better technical boxer.

If have to hurt Kiwnacki though or be very mobile. Not sure if Pulev still has the power or mobility it avoid it becoming a malling, brawling affair.

I just think Pulev is on the decline. Not sure hes still the same fighter he was in his peak.

I have nothing against the guy. Comments about his paper skin and girl kissing ways are overblown or irrelevant to his ability as a boxer.

I suspect hes a little past his best. Otherwise I'd rate his chance decent to good over the current crop of champs.

I don't think he's declined that much. Wlad aside he hasn't taken much damage. He rests a lot too preserving his body. I think he beats most guys he would have beaten at his peak still.

Pulev Uds Knownacki. Not even sure Knownacki could beat Pulev in a fire fight.

Yes. This would absolutely sell out. The Bulgarian fans will definitely come out to support their fighter. The Polish fans will do the same. Both sets are fans can be a little crazy. The atmosphere would be charged inside and outside the ring. Just what boxing needs!

They could call it the Chicago Euro-cafe Championship. :)

    It would definitely sell.

If Kownacki can make it a fight in a telephone booth, he can win. At distance though, I agree he is no match.

At this point in his career, can Puvel still keep Kownacki off him?

    It would be entertaining.

Assuming Knownacki can get past his jab Pulev has more than enough brute strength to just move him wherever he wants to.

Not sure I agree with that. Kownacki is a big boy. That's a lot of weight to push around. Hes a mauler. I don't see Pulev as an inside boxer, more of an outside boxer who may not be in his element on the inside.

No doubt Pulev is the better boxer. Kownacki brings determination and grit. People get tired from hitting him and frustrated. How much determination and grit does Pulev still have? He is no spring chicken.

It would be fun to watch. It would be a huge fight in Chicago.

When Pulev had his eye cut open he turned the heat and did what he needed to do. He seems to do what will give him the best chance to win. When a potential tko loss was threatning his UD win he decided to go for the knockout.
