I must've missed all of Tyson's one punch knockouts where the guy went down with one shot and remained down for a 10 count.

Holmes was down and got up several times before Tyson ended it, so that wasn't one. And the ref jumped on top of Holmes and issued no count for the third knockdown. It's not like Holmes' couldn't get up by the count of 10. The ref straddled him and waived it off before a one count. Holmes didn't even think Tyson hit hard. Holmes said Tyson punched sharply and that Norton punched harder.

Spinks got up before he went down again. Bruno got up and fought four more rounds.

Don't act like Tyson was the one-punch KO king. Witherspoon had more one-punch KOs than Tyson.

And if Tyson was active today, Wilder stops him. Wilder doesn't lay on the ropes and let people pound him. Wilder doesn't lay around in clinches round after round. Wilder keeps his distance. And Tyson would have trouble landing anything with Wilder EIGHT FEET away from him most of the round.

The right crosses Douglas put Tyson away with would be forgotten.

Wilder would finish a charging Tyson like Hearns finished Duran.

The problem is Tyson wouldn't be landing jabs and uppercuts on Wilder when Wilder was standing eight feet away from him.

Wilder keeps his distance. Then he closes fast - within a second or two - throws his shots ... and then he turns and he's out again ... and eight feet away.

There aren't uppercuts to be landed. There aren't jabs to be landed.

Mike Tyson isn't nearly seven feet tall, like Tyson Fury.

And who got carried out of the ring on a stretcher after fighting Mike Tyson?

    Oh, right, nobody did.

Hmm... that must be why Luis Ortiz wasn't able to land anything on Wilder or hurt him.

Listen, I'm a big Wilder fan as anybody, but a prime Mike Tyson would have taken apart Wilder on that night or any other night. A classic lightning quick Mike Tyson combo right hand to the body and left hook to the head would leave Wilder on ***** street, followed by a ferocious whirlwind of punches that would actually land and finish the job. I've always maintained Tyson would KO Wilder in 1 round, because Wilder is tailor made for him.

Doesn't take away from the fact Wilder is still a good fighter in this day and age of heavyweights.

Wilder obviously gets more leverage on his punches but Tyson has heavier hands that are thrown with so much force. His punches are dense and snappy as hell. On top of that, Tyson throws in proper form so im saying he is the harder puncher and the better puncher.

Is this a joke. Tyson hit way harder than wilder. Its just that the guys tyson fought we,re durable and knew how to fight. Even the guys on tysons cv that are seen as easy pickings had a lot of different tools back then to keep them in a fight. Probably a lot more hardened with the amount of competetive sparring they done in comparison with today. I still say the only guy wilders really beat thats been any good is ortiz...who,s a good fighter...but older and a counter puncher which was a nightmare style to beat wilder with. He was well picked from wilders team. A good fighter ortiz. But hes not that effective given away as much reach as he did against wilder being a counterpuncher. Breazeale, stiverne, wsshington would have been battered badly against say berbick. Tyson would have first rounded pretty much all of wilders opponents barring ortiz. The gulf in class between the 80,s heavyweights and outside the top 5/10 heavyweights of say nowadays is massive.

Oh please. Tyson couldn't KO Jose Ribalta in a round, or keep him down. Tyson couldn't knock out Razor Ruddock in a round or keep him down. Tyson couldn't do anything to Mitch Blood Green. Tyson didn't have much luck knocking out any tall fighters in a round, and he never fought anyone as tall, as fast, or who hit as hard as Wilder.

I'd rather be in the ring with a prime Wilder than a prime Tyson.

Wilder has stopped everyone he's fought as a pro except for Tyson Fury (who is nearly 7 feet tall, outweighed Wilder by 45 pounds, and is a switch-hitting boxer/puncher).

At least 10 fighters went the distance with Tyson or beat Tyson - before his prime, during his prime and after his prime.

Ehhh? Ten fighters who went the distance with Tyson? I'm pretty sure he didn't hear the final bell more than five times in his career.

Why does everyone think that Mike Tyson hits hard?? Who has he actually KO'd that was good? Every highlight video I've seen of him, he's KOing cab drivers or washed up fighters like Larry Holmes, who was 56 years old when he fought

Everyone hes fought has been a bum minus two guys, both coming with their on health issues, one of which he Lost to. Maybe wait until wilder has beat more than one decent credible oponent until you start swearing that he beats all time greats.

ehh Bermane Stiverne, Luis Ortiz, they were about the same caliber opponents as Tony Tucker, Trevor Berbick, Bonecrusher...
