A few of Carlos Monzon’s fights were pretty horrid

1970's Ali often seemed more circus sideshow than actual boxer. His constant fouling and playing to the fawning judges was just unwatchable. And half the time he wasn't in decent shape, no matter how far away he stayed from the White Man's food.

Calzaghe was more ugly than boring (aesthetically speaking) and he was plenty boring in my view with some exceptions (Eubank, Mitchell fights were entertaining but the Bika and Hopkins fights were putrid).

I never liked watching Emile Griffith fights though I appreciate his ability.

Jack Johnson is as dull as dishwater to watch.

Personal opinions make the world go round. That’s what this question is so everyone should understand that. My personal opinion:

Wladimir. He always kept people at arms length with damn good reason if you remember that Lamon Brewster nearly derailed his career. Boring fights against subpar competition. He went to Germany to fight admittedly because and I quote Bert Sugar “No one would pay to see him out point cab drivers in the states”

Tyson Fury bores me, even his last fight I lost interest halfway through.
Calzaghe is boring also, except for the Lacy fight and I like Joe.
Foreman and Sven Ottke were boring.
I find Wlad, Hopkins, Ward and Floyd all very entertaining or interesting to watch them work.

I am probably Corro's biggest, ...well...maybe his only fan in this Classic forum. Speaking of Hugo Corro, try looking up my immortal, classic thread "Hugo Corro vs Sven Ottke"...It's probably @Boxed Ears favorite thread...sort of a cult classic.

He became very uneven and his motivation wavered. He looked disinterested against Evangelista but rose to the challenge of Ernie Shavers. I guess to a degree it depended on the quality of his opponent.

Many thought Corey Spinks was boring, but I scored his fight with Jermain Taylor 6-6 draw. He was very skilled but soft punching.

The first fighters that came to mind for me were Whitaker, Floyd, Hopkins, Corro, Terrell and probably Paul Vaden. In the eye of the beholder.
