lol you've been on this forum for 10 years and you think that should be a NC? If it was the other fighter who got injured like that would you be saying the same thing? I get it, Ward was dominating that fight, and you probably are a fan of his, but you get injured like that and it's not a foul it's a loss.
I have been on this forum for more than 10 years son. I had another handle before this one for 4 years. No punch was landed and he crumbled on the floor with an injury so there is a good reason to question a loss being given against him. The rules vary depending on the sanctioning body as you well know having been on this forum for ages under various different usernames.
He wasn't right from the minute it started, he looked like something was gonna give, old injury ?? Sharp and strong though Ward, I expect him to make waves and scare the crap out of the Americans, if they dare to challenge him that is, let the spanking commence
You accept he has an injury ? a serious one that would stop ANY man, then you question him going down from it ??? lol
I understand that it was no foul but opponent did step on his foot that caused the awkward fall and injury, in case like that, with physical contact, it could aswell be NC.
Lol when you are the A side then I am sure things can be a little bit grey. Would be worth his while to get on to that especially in the era of the "0"
Unlucky kid, and it takes a while for him to heal from that injury. But for the people trying to write it down as a NC, sorry but that's a TKO.
Put a fiver on Delgado by KO at +3300 lol. I think this was the highest single odds in boxing I've ever won.
That friggin sucks. I hope he bounces back, dude is a hell of a talent. I don't think that's what they mean by "luck of the Irish"
Don't try and son me *****. Facts are you like this prospect so you wanted this decision to get overturned. Even though I wouldn't agree to this, a far fairer decision would be to go to the cards, which in that case Ward would have won, but that's also bull**** since it robs the other opponent of a chance of getting the KO or coming back. Self-inflicted injuries should be a loss for that fighter imo.
Yeah, it's really unfortunate. One thing that annoys me though is when Bradley injured himself in Pac 1 it was because of Pac's movement. When Ward gets injured it's an unfortunate accident. I'm also a way bigger fan of Pac than Bradley, I just don't like the double standards. Don't get me wrong it was a freak accident, but the only success Delgado had was to the body, and the reason Ward was in that position was because he was defending his body. To be fair to Ward though, he was easily dominating the fight and I do feel bad for him. Hopefully he bounces back.
These are the rules and as a massive fan of him we have to accept that. My take away from it is, ward came into this fight in the best shape if ever seen him in by a country mile. There's no question marks over hes talent but there is over he's commitment and fitness. He has shown he can get in Great shape. He has shown he can do that which to me is a bigger positive that a first round ko would have been. Also iv said before, a patella dislocation is 6-8 weeks out. May look horrific but its actually a million times better than other possible knee injuries. This is now he's greatest challenge now, to keep dedicated and keel his fitness after this huge set back. If he can come back after this in as good shape and as focused as on his pro debut it will mean more than 10 first round ko's as it will show he has the.mental strength and dedication.
Not sure about his commitment and fitness since I don't know much about him, but I think it's going to be more of a mental thing now. Now if he can come back in good shape. Him falling and slipping like that has to be in the back of his head, and he might put himself in these weird awkward positions to prevent himself from falling like that which might leave him open. This is one of the cases where being calm and composed played against him. Ward might have been able to take the guy out in round 1 but he wanted to fight him like a veteran.
No. No, no, no, no. That is such toxic thinking, along the same lines as "you have to take the belt from the champ"
