While looking for scores from tonight's fight (media scores), saw something about how he may have also had a hand issue the last few weeks.

Great point. GGG blocked many of those shots which initially looked like they connected.

Banks told him after the fourth round "I know you are tired, but that's why we are in camp to get through that " and to be tired after the fourth round is not typically ggg. Also his punchoutput was way lower the usual.
But a lot of flurrys from drever were parried or blocked by ggg, he got to ggg with max. 2 punches, but it looked like 5 punches.
That's why the scoring was also difficult.

Great points and I agree. GGG looked "off," and many of Derev's shots were blocked (though hard to tell that in real time).

You're right -- his output was way down. And he was tired fast.

Well, as a GGG fan, I'm feeling better and better about the fight the more I learn.

I do agree also, though, that Derev fought a great fight and deserves a rematch.

The KD edge the victory for Golovkin. There is zero controversy.
I think 114-113 or 115-112 was all good for Golovkin.
As far as GGG performance goes, he was too inactive for long periods, otherwise he would have win big. He may very well was ill, but as i said Johnathon Banks is a f***** fraud. He aint top coach. He helped Klitschko declined really fast, as he is doing the same with GGG.
GGG decision to hire Banks was ridiculous and plain stupid. Banks is just bad.
Golovkin needs to drop him asap.

I can guarantee you all one thing, if Canelo would have turned in the exact performance Golovkin did vs SD, you all would be crying robbery. LOL!

Close fight but I had it 115-112 to golovkin. Was competitive throughout though and would probably have a different score if I sat down and watched again.

On a side note, why was golovkin being booed in the post fight interview in the ring? Or had something happened off-camera that they were booing at?

There are a lot of Ukrainians in NY and there were a lot of them in the MSG so no wonder.

Crowd was pulling for Derev and/or thought Derev won, I think.

Same as the judges. GGG by a few rounds. Great fight. Think the DAZN broadcast team fudged up calling a great fight by focusing too much on the story lines instead of just calling the great back and forth two way action. I hate to say it but a more experienced broad caster like Jim lampley would have realized this. And just let the fight itself be the drama.

    Round 1. Golovkin 10-8
    Round 2. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 3. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 4. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 5. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 6. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 7. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 8. Golovkin 10-9
    Round 9. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 10. Derevyachenko 10-9
    Round 11. Golovkin 10-9
    Round 12. Golovkin 10-9

    115-112 Derevyachenko.

And I think that it was really a robbery. It could be 115-112 or 114-113 but not 113-114

    Lol.
Gloves and elbows, gloves and elbows.
Knocked down SD, landed more, landed more clean and powerful shots. SD trainer saying to his fighter that they are loosing....
    But it was a robbery.

GGG has created by himself an image where if he doesn’t win way convincingly it means the other fighter won....
