That's what I call close really hard to score rounds. Something has to be the deciding factor, for me, that was the edge in power.

I'll be damned, look at that. Only 50 punches landed to the body of Golovkin, the way many of you were going it, you'd think he was speedbagging him flush in it for 12 rounds.

Was reading a paper at work pretty sure it was the guardian, listed Golovkin as Ukranian, and this for the IBF super middleweight title

I had it 6-6 with the kd being the deciding factor.

This fight was incredibly close and could have gone to either man.

I've seen some horrifically biased cards on this rbr, people caught up in agenda driven scoring, or people not focusing properly maybe, perhaps even those who are throwing logic out of the window, but somehow I've seen people scoring 10-2 and they really need to give this fight another watch.

I just rewatched and rescored it.

    Round 1 Golovkin 10-8
    Round 2 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 3 Derevyanchenko 10-9, very close *
    Round 4 Derevyanchenko 10-9, very close *
    Round 5 Derevyanchenko 10-9, close
    Round 6 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 7 Golovkin 10-9, close
    Round 8 Golovkin 10-9, close *
    Round 9 Golovkin 10-9, close
Round 10 Golovkin 10-9, very close
    Round 11 Golovkin 10-9
    Round 12 Golovkin 10-9

    117-110 Golovkin

116-111 or 115-112 GGG are fine as well.

I switched the 3rd and 4th to Derevyanchenko.

But I also switched the 8th to Golovkin. I came damn close to giving it to him the first time around.

The 10th stays as is. Sergey did some great work early on, but GGG came back to tag him repeatedly to the head and clean to edge it on my card. But it was razor close

The only two debatable toss up rounds are the 8th and 10th.

But no way to Derevyanchenko win more than 5 rounds of this fight. Sorry.

As per usual, GGG's jab made the difference. Sergey's wasn't landing clean or flush very often, and his body shots while many got through, most were being blocked by GGG's elbows. GGG's style has become very Mayweather like in his old age. Let me finish. Many seem to have a hard time scoring Mayweather matches because he's low output and his opponents appear to be whirling dervishes of activity. Well GGG in his old age is focusing on defense and accuracy, so he''ll stand there, let his opponent tee off on his arms and block gloves to the head with his gloves, then fire back a few rights or a jab. His opponent gets through with a few partially blocked shots, but GGG gets through with a handful of hard clean flush bombs. Therein where lies to quandary for a lot of people scoring his matches lately. He does just enough to nick most rounds, but look bad doing it. It's not pleasing and in no way does he look dominant, but he's getting the job done. But the fans are left scratching their heads and perplexed, to quote Max, he's not winning the "story of the match." But he still ends up being the sharper better fighter ultimately.

A wise man once said the following to me, and I feel like it applies here:

If one man calls you a horse, he's being childish. If 10 men call you a horse, they're part of a conspiracy. If 100 men call you a horse it's about time you got yourself a saddle.

There's another wise quote that you should take into consideration..... "*****, who asked you?"

That was the closest fight I’ve ever seen GGG In including the Canelo fights
GGG was hurt not once but twice badly:
I had GGG up and winning thanks to the KD.

In fairness if GGG had ever placed Canelo in jeopardy of going down or taking a knee and the same actions were taken by a ref like this one, who literally saved GGG, the ESB boards would be over ran with screams of robbery.

Close fight and GGG won but he best send that Ref a cashier check.

It's a boxing forum. This is where opinions about boxing are expressed.

We would all respect you more if you accepted the error in your scoring. If you atleast accepted the opinion of those who scored the fight closer or even in favour of SD.

The most respected scorers on this forum saw a different fight to you. That tells you all you need to know.

    Saddle up.

So I went back and rewatched it, then gave a well reasoned breakdown of why I saw the fight the way I did.

And your response is, well everybody else thought this, why didn't you?

Hive mind mass hysteria is a thing, This whole site fell under its spell last night. Congratulations, you're a lemming, who doesn't think for himself and relies on majority opinion to form his.

I don't think your response was well reasoned. It is all hinged on the idea that everyone else has been misled or has some form bias.

Nah, I didn't take part in the rbr, I very rarely do. I score it myself and post after if i cba.

    6 rounds a piece I had it.
