It’s a question to his fans. Let’s be real here. Just as he won against Jacobs and Canelo twice, yesterday night he lost. SD is a very tough opponent but he is not anywhere close to prime Golovkin.

But prime Golovkin is not around anymore. He is going to be 38 years old (extremely old for a middleweight), he had more than 350 amateur fights, more than 40 professional fights (including 4 extremely tough fights from his last 6), and so many training camps and weight cuts.

He can retire now as a champion, or he can do that 4 more fights which left on his contract, but it’s very likely that we are going to see him losing against Canelo, BJS, Andrade.

As a fan I don’t wanna see that. He can keep changing coaches and nutritionists, but he can’t turn the clock back. He is not going to be better, just slower and less powerful.

For me he is an ATG middleweight and a future HOF, 5 years ago he was the most avoided fighter on this planet, but he is old now. Canelo, BJS, Jacobs, etc. These guys are going to retire latest at the age of 35.

Time to hang 'em up. He could've retired as the undefeated people's champ and not fought Derevyanchenko.

    What else is there?
Canelo would probably ko him now.
Many thought he lost his last fight.
    He has enough money.

Hell no, I want GGG to take DAZN for all they're worth if he feels like fighting. Just maybe do it against second rate opposition. Doesn't have to be cans like Rolls and Vanes. The IBF has Kamil Szeremeta on GGG's heels. A youngish guy that needs a step up would be a good fight.

But yeah, stay away from Canelo looking like that.

where was all this mercy when ggg was trying to get broken martinez in the ring.
Full fill your contract until the end

whatever happens , happens simple as that
im a fan of boxing not just one single fighter

if ggg wants to go out on his own terms then let him
i stand as i always did with every fighter

you are a champion i expect you to fight other champs and defend your belt the standards dont change
if not just simply vacate and retire

GG bum boyz demanded Martinez offer up his 40 year old shell of himself just so GG could get a name on his resume.
If you say yes then you can never accuse Martinez of ducking ever again.

Nah, he just fought a good fighter. Odd how his last few fights against top guys have gone the distance. Something is different probably. A combination of age and fighting better fighters.

Yes I would but his legacy has been affected in his loss to Canelo now anyway so if he wants to earn some more money who are we to begrudge him.

How's it odd, nobody wanted a piece of him until after the Brook fight.

Lol, **** a contract. Worst take possible. You can't force a boxer to keep putting his health on the line.

GGG is not old, he still the same! Difference is when he fights quality fighters! Any one can look like a killer against bums! Deal with it
