Pretty obvious that Zerafa threw a spanner in the works of those plans but nice try idiot.

Keep on lying you made up the possibility of him fighting Geale a couple weeks ago based on what some random told you, just so you could try and put **** on Horns level of opposition again, when the fact is Geale was never even a consideration,as Horn was always going to exercise the rematch with Zerefa or retire.

The PPV budget is going to get a hammering in the lead up to Christmas. That's three Foxtel PPVs in the space of a month plus a 'free' Foxtel show plus an Epicentre PPV. I'm still hopeful of another 'free' Foxtel show with Jai Opetaia to headline.

It may only be pad work, but Big Bad Barry looks like he might be a bit better than I thought. Paul Gallen couldn't get complete novice Junior Paulo out of there when he fought him so he might have a bit more trouble with Triple B than expected.

If BBB can keep Gallen on the end of a jab & drop the occasional right hand on him as he comes in, he wins. Then give him Demsey McKean. Don't give him Justis Huni.

Top 10 Australian fighters to watch (based on talent, achievement & potential):

    1. Andrew Moloney 20-0(13) - Former Commonwealth champ & Commonwealth games gold medalist. I've been saying for a while that this bloke in the best professional fighting out of Australia. Fights for the Interim WBA Super Flyweight title next start.

    2. Michael Zerafa 27-3(16) - Former Commonwealth champ & slayer of Horndogs. Can he do in Brisbane what he did in Bendigo? We'll find out before the year is out.

    3. Justis Huni Amateur - Bronze at the World Amateur Championships & bronze on my list. Will face one or both of the finalists from the World Amateur Championships at the Asia & Oceania Olympic qualifying tournament in February next year. What about a few fights with the Kiwi David Nyika before the end of this year? Olympic gold is not beyond him. It's an attainable, realistic goal.

    4. Dennis Hogan 28-2-1(7) - Apparently all our Junior Middles are so good they're only allowed to get title shots at Middleweight from now on. When they do get title shots at Junior Middle & win, the sanctioning bodies refuse to hand over the belts (like the WBOooooooo).

    5. Jeff Horn 19-2-1(13) - Horndog's back, back again. Horndog's back, tell a friend. 2012 Olympian & former WBO Welter champ.

    6. Junior Tszyu 14-0(10) - With all the best Junior Middles in the country campaigning at Middleweight, he's last man standing at Junior Middle. One of the few fighters in the country who can head up a PPV. People want to see him fight which is why I've rated him above some better credentialed fighters below him on the list. He'll move further up the list if those immediately above him get done in their next fights.

    7. TJ Doheny 21-1(15) - Former IBF Jr Feather champ. Deserves to be much higher on the list but I'll wait until he's active again before making the correction.

    8. Jason Moloney 19-1(16) - Former WBA Bantam world title challenger. Another who should be higher & will be as results pan out between now & the end of the year.

    9. Jai Opetaia 18-0(14) - 2012 Olympian. Hope we see him back in the ring before the year is out heading up a Foxtel show.

    10. Daniel Lewis 4-0(3) - 2016 Olympian. Fights in the US in November & perhaps back here again before the year is out.

Honourable mentions to George Kambosos Jr, Rohan Murdock & Liam Paro who all feature prominently in the world rankings.

Plenty of people want to criticise Australian boxing, but I think that's a very talented list of fighters most of whom are on the way up.

The only thing we're missing is a World Championship from one of the major sanctioning bodies. Andrew Moloney, over to you.

Really shocking news about Jeff Fenech. Hopefully he's getting the best possible medical treatment over there. I remember his father had a lot of heart trouble. Get well soon, Jeffrey.

Glad to hear Liam Wilson has signed with Dean Lonergan & D&L Events. He's a really good young fighter who I think can go all the way.

More Australians have had success on the world stage at Junior Lightweight than any other weight division. I'd like to see Liam Wilson one day add his name to the likes of Lester Ellis, Barry Michael, Robbie Peden & Gairy St Clair as an IBF Junior Lightweight champ.

It's also good to see Dean Lonergan investing in young Australian talent. It's all very well having plenty of good young talent on the local scene but someone needs to spend the money to get them the right opponents & develop them properly.

Really glad to hear that Jai Opetaia has secured a decent opponent & also that it's going to be televised on 'free' Foxtel. His career finally appears to be pointing in the right direction. Interesting that D&L Events is listed on the promotional poster along with Tasman Fighters. Dean Lonergan must have a content deal with Foxtel. I guess that's how he's going to deliver 15 televised fights for Brock Jarvis. It's also good news for Liam Wilson who we can expect to see regularly on tv from now on. This was the last show I was hanging out for an announcement on this year. I was a little worried it wouldn't come off, but we're getting it, so that's great. I think we just need a date & venue for the Horndog v Zerafa rematch & we're all set for a massive year end commencing mid-November. It's pretty much saturation coverage of domestic boxing from then on. We've got five big Foxtel shows three of which are PPVs. I'm looking forward to watching all of them. We should pick up an Interim WBA World Title on the first show which will be upgraded to WBA regular when the current WBA regular champ unifies with the WBC champ a month later.

good fight for Both Jai & Bam Bam, would've been better if it was 12 months ago but still this is a tough test, well see were both are at.
is Horn vs Zerafa again at 160? if so same result, Horn is just not a middleweight or light middle, & the fights with Pacman & Crawford damaged him.
Gallen vs Hall is actually going to be a good fight, Hall has pretty good fundementals but i dont think at 42 & no fights he will handle the pressure of Gallen.
