I think it'd be a close fight where possibly Canizales' more eye catching punches win it. A chessmatch would favor Davila.
Would be a beautiful fight to watch. Canizales did not fight the same level of competition as Davila (despite losing most of the big name fights) and I think Davila would have given him a tough fight. Close fight but I think Canizales' athletiticsm, angles, and flashy combinations would do just enough to edge Davila in an entertaining chess match / scrap.
I think Canizales is a little busier and punches a little harder. Therefore he wins on points, but it's not an easy one.
Canizales also threw great combinations as well. His movement, counterpunching, power, and aggression would give Davila something to think about.
Great matchup. Both were highly skilled. Canizales had more power, but Davilla was extremely resilent so I don't think it would factor into the match very much. I can see, a close decision either way. If pressed, I'll go with Davila by SD.
Another vote for Davila. As much as I like O.C. footwork and his all around ability Davila is the better boxer and better defensively. I'm taking Davila in a close decision
