Would anyone have known about this if Spong was Hearns fighter?

Doesnt the replacement have to be in the WBO top 15? Junior Fa I am guessing.

Am I cynical in thinking this is good for Hearn.

Let's him push his 0 tolerance narrative to his loyal band of football fans and give him a massively enhanced defence?

Clearly you would need to a moron to believe it but there are plenty of them.

    yeah you are!

To be honest you’re very cynical about a lot of things lately, it seems as though you’ve fell out of love with the sport. I think sometimes we as modern day fans get too caught up with the nonsense outside the ring and stop enjoying the hat goes on inside of it.

The worst people (and this is not you by the way) are the ones who refuse to enjoy a show or a fighter because they’re with certain promoters. It’s funny that some of the staunchest Saunders defenders are now critical of him because he’s with Hearn and/or the same people who defended Saunders for failing a drugs test and refusing to do a B sample are the major contributors to the 160 page Dillian Whyte thread on the same subject.

Sorry to hear that. Out of interest what made you such a big fan of Spong? He’s pretty obscure

Everytime you hear Hearn talk a out PEDs he always talks about VADA. Why do we do it ect. Reminds me of the Armstrong defence.

I agree with that to a degree, butbwhen you have the best heavyweight dicking around on WWE, our best promoter flogging 2 twats from youtube and Whyte clearly being geared off his nut and we all know it will be brushed under the carpet. It gets frustrating

Many things really, I liked his attitude in and ut of the ring. He was a tough guy, bad ass type but never saw the need to act rowdy arrogant or smacktalk... just let his hands do the talking in the ring.

he was gifted from a young age in the art of striking, almost like a child prodigy. But he fulfilled his potential he didnt waste it. He tool himself as far as he could, he stayed hungry and humble, smart and intelligent... I just grew fond of his personality and suave nature, that dutch streetkid mentality
    Too cool for school

But yeah, I have love for the whole dutch crew, Badr, Melvin, Spong, Saki and the rest.

Spong I just feel was the most dedicated mentally and thats something I respect a lot... a hard worker who doesnt take time off or distracted like badr for example who loses focus and gets embroiled in silly drama

But at the same time can you blame Hearn/any promoter. While the authorities are pissing about with drug cheats and basically giving them a free pass it’s always going to be the same.

If Hearn was to cut Whyte off now you can bet your last penny that Warren would be the first to try and sign him and vice versa if it was Yarde who failed, Eddie would be straight in there. 6 months are just ridiculous. They need to be at least 3 years.

I agree with that but Hearn will just be using this going forward as an example of how committed he is to no drugs etc. When there probably isn't a stable out there with more fails

Time will tell. I think UKAD have cocked up like they did with Fury but with the power and money of Matchroom they will resolve it much quicker. Properly elevated levels but not a breach, UKAD let Whyte fight knowing the findings, as they did with Fury. I just think their a shambles mate.

    Rinnnmgggg, riiiinnnnngg...
    David Allen speaking.
Hey Dave, buddy, it's Eddie... Guess what, I've got a fight for you! Good payday.
Still feeling a little woozy from my last outing, so no quality opponents for me for the time being....
No, of course not, my buddy! Easy payday... some Eastern block guy, and it's his first fight a Heavyweight even, as he's actually a cruiserweight. This opponent is exactly what Useek, believe me! 4 days notice opponent and all.
Thanks Eddie, you really are a good friend. Make it happen!
    Everything for you Dave buddy!
