Cheeseman looks to have been exposed recently but something in me says don’t write him off.
There’s absolutely no shame in getting beat by Sergio Garcia but then was gifted a draw against Conway. If he’s sorted out his personal problems he could be a different beast going in to this.

Fitz has had his own personal problems and the moderate inactivity and apparently blowing up won’t have done him any favours. The Fowler fight also brought a bit of personal beef between them and I think that helped spur the mad man on that extra 10/20%.

I just don’t know which version of each fighter is going to turn up here.

    Bookies: Cheeseman 2/1 Fitzgerald 1/2.

Cheeseman has lost that aura of invincibility and is struggling outside of the ring.

If Fitzgerald has a poor camp and doesn’t take this fight seriously then he will really struggle. You have to fancy Fitzgerald via decision assuming Fitzgerald turns up in good form.

However Fitzgerald has issues outside of the ring and with preparation too at times.

The great unknowns in this fight is the kind of shape both guys turn up in. It is very difficult to predict with certainty because if either guy isn’t in good shape they will take an L.

Just seen your take on it bro. After I wrote mine and we pretty much wrote the same thing. Agree 100% with your view.

I can’t believe how wide the bookies have it priced up in favour of Fitz. I do think he’s the favourite but only slightly. I’m tempted to have a few quid on Ted now.

Watched a video last week and Fitz, who is living at Michael Jennings house (who is training him) in the build up to this fight, looks in fantastic shape.

Fitz will be on point. Trust me.

    Fitz by a late stoppage.

In the vids we've been seeing of fitzy of late he seems very grounded and on the ball, training wise.
The move to Jennings has done him the world of good and you can tell that it's Jennings intention to ground Fitzy and keep him down to earth, whilst keeping him focused on his boxing.
He's living with Jennings, so I can personally see a big shift in fitzys personality co.ing now he's away from his usual surroundings.
There's not a man on here who isn't going to agree that, that has to be a good thing.
But on the other side of the coin we are talking about fighting here and we don't know if a calming of fitzys temperament personality wise, equates to making fitzy a better fighter . I would expect that it will but when there's such a shift in someone's personality you never know the total cosequenses, until that same person is in a similar situation.
We shall see, I'm hoping were getting an Improved fighter here, cos same as everyone else, I really like fitzy.
Jennings is trying to take the mad man out of fitzy, we shall see how much of that mad man is needed to make a top fighter.

Here's a funny story I've heard about mad man.
When he was fighting Fowler he did a load of ticket sales around his hometown Preston. He did about 20G in tickets. When he was asked to give the money in for the sales he's done he told MR that he'd have to hand it in after the fight. When they asked why, it turned out he'd give the money back out to his mates, so they could all place bets on him and make themselves a few quid.
    What a guy!

Very good point. Fitzgerald although very likeable and great to watch, has the character where he will probably put in a few flat performances in his career.

I hope it doesn't come against a fired up Cheeseman. Like you say no shame in losing to Garcia.

Think so many variables in this fight like many have pointed out above. Hopefully both guys turn up on top form and have a great fight

As long as he's fully prepared Fitzgerald wins easy, probably by knock out. I think it's a mismatch actually.

I like this fight. Fitzgerald slight favourite but wouldn't be shocked with a Cheeseman win.

Fitzgerald has to be motivated, I wouldn’t write off Ted at all. He’s had his issues and hopefully he’s ironed them out completely, I think this will be a lot closer than people think and I’m looking forward to it...
