Nice! I remember the build up to that fight being pretty heated. Just googled it and have seen that it was 13 years ago. Where has the time gone? It doesn't seem that long ago.
Greatest beatdown in history... I almost forgot how unbearable Broner was back in 2013.... The guys mouth would never shut up, he was obnoxious, loud, rude....Would keep saying he was the next Floyd, even worse Team Slick and the black supremacists were on here slobbering all over Broner and talking about him like a bunch of girls in middle school about some boy they thought was cute... Maidana dropped him, beat him and raped him....Broner walking back to his locker room crying while pushing an invisable shopping cart was hands down the greatest scene in the history of boxing.
He looked very dominant vs Demarco. Even Gavin Rees wasn’t a bad opponent. Funny that broner is maidana’s best win actually, shows how very overrated maidana really is. Someone was asking who would win in maidana vs porter, lol. Maidana is a B- level type fighter. Lost to Alexander and khan and went life and death with Ortiz. Even the broner fight wasn’t a walk in the park.
I was there live couldn't believe it since at that time I thought Madiana was a bit overrated and it turned out Broner was more overrated .
Actually he was under rated and AB was the pump up rising star Poor Chino had been beaten by Khan of all people in a war but he sure embarrassed Broner
Cassius Clay beat a man to a swollen pulp while hollering what's my name. Had to have been embarrassing next day. Pernell Whitaker pulled a man's shorts down to a victory. Barerra whoopin Hamed, no comment needed.' Niccolino Loche embarrassed many by standing in front. Right in front of them and just used head movement. Emanuel Augustus had to have embarrassed fighters by doing the boogie-woogie. How does one go home to his woman after she just watched her man literally lose to an arm puncher who is doing dance club moves while throwing. and landing?
This was back when people actually believed that Broner would become the next big boxing star and how he was going to look impressive against a caveman brawler like Maidana. What we got instead was a satisfying beatdown of an immature man-child. I remember how everyone was going crazy when Maidana ragdolled him, and then showing that he was the boss when he humped Broner back, it was definitely a great payback. That was a good fight to end the year. Maidana really gave one of his best performances. I would have thought that the Maidana beating would have at least matured or put some senses into Broner and make him a better fighter, but nope....
I watched a video of Dontay's Boxing nation where he claimed he was retired and said "F" boxing. Man-child.
Big difference. Nas was cocky before a fight, was extremely entertaining, an absolute one off. But he was always respectful afterwards.
