Damn just reading about this. Apparently in intensive care? Hope he’s ok had the world in front of him in terms of his career.

Car smash pictures can be misleading, Jermain Defoe was involved in a crash a couple weeks back which looked horrific from the pictures but was ok.

Actual cell you would sit in seems relatively ok. But guessing depending on speed the actual trauma element.

Hope he recovers and has a good quality of life, never mind boxing.

According to the article I read, he had no seat belt on, and was travelling at high speed when he crashed. Doesn't sound good does it.

‘Seriously injured but expected to survive’

It’s complete guesswork what these injuries could be, but if you’ve been flung from the vehicle such is the speed and impact of the crash then it’s not just going to be a few bumps and bruises. Let’s just hope he’s suffered no serious trauma to the brain or spine.

Lou DiBella has put on twitter that "i'm hearing from those in the know that he's in better shape than you would think and should make a full recovery".

So hopefully good news for him and the sport.

Fingers crossed. In boxing terms Spence/Crawford is the no.1 fight in the sport for me. And of course Spence's well being is most important of all. We all remember what happened poor Paul Williams.

No it`s tragic and has also ruined the welterweight division too.

I hope for a speedy recovery and that he gets to make the decision over his future career.

His condition status has been changed from serious to critical. This sounds bad, really hope he pulls through

EDIT: Not sure if that’s official or just the word that the news outlet decided to use, as they also posted the same information everyone else has at the moment
