Funny you mentioning him. After seeing Barratt at the Josh Warrington press conference I was wondering the same thing. He's had a lot of personal issues away from the ring. I think they may have stopped him from taking advantage of that fine win over Zelfa. Pity, because he fought the fight of his life and overturned all the odds and expectations.

Not all boxers get Pay per Puddings mate with many pros struggling to make ends meet. A young Jock boxer died in the ring a couple of years ago just earning enough to go on a decent holiday after expenses. You should show the man more respect after what he done IN THE RING versus Barrett and maybe consider whether he was actually skint after 2 cancelled fights. Really enjoyed the Barrett fight and hope he overcomes whatever issues he is dealing with at the moment.
I know very well that many domestic boxers don't get the big money, and I'm not arguing that he wasn't skint and to be fair I would feel sorry for any other boxer in that situation. I respect every single boxer who steps in the ring, and as a boxer Ronnie Clark has had some good achievements and has done okay from himself, and had some bad luck. As a person he is clearly a scumbag and deserves rotten luck outside of the ring.
How do you know he's a scumbag? T.S . Afaik he's got a bad shoulder injury, although that was about a year ago now, I remember them saying that he was looking at a long time out of the ring
Because he controlled and stalked a girl he was no longer with, threatened to kill any man she spoke to after he had spent the relationship cheating on her (culminating in fathering someone else's child.) As a boxer, he is tough and deserves respect. That doesn't mean he deserves respect for his personal life - his own brother text the girl insinuating that Clark was going to kill her.
The Shark Clark! Don't know him personally but we used to train at the same gym a while ago. Sure there was talk from Frank Warren about an instant rematch with Barrett but nothing ever came of it, then shortly after he was trying to sell his belt. Seems to have just disappeared. Last fight was decent enough. Dunno what's worse though, the green corn rows or the leather thong. This content is protected
If someone has done the above then of course it's wrong but i made the comment because Clark has always protested his innocence & claims the x girlfriend made it all up to get him out of the way. We dont really know the true story so it's not right to condemn him.
Clark's post fight interview was very classy when he beat Barrett including recognition of what he had come through including prison. There are 2 sides to every story plus the truth.
Nonsense theres only one side and thats the truth ! Courts dont send people down for those type of charges based just on victim testimony, they need evidence.
Tell that to the Guildford Four mate and the thousands of other people stitched up in courts all over the UK!!!!
