I think size is overrated but when you combine lack of power with relatively small size you have a problem. I agree with you.

It's too bad there's no money (or top opponents) for Usyk at cruiser and he has to fight against much bigger men to make real money. The guy is a terrific fighter.

I know you don't have much faith in him, and you're not that high on him. But just trust me here. He looked fine tonight and that was a very rusty version. After a few tune ups and he gets fully acclimated like Hunter. He's going to be a nightmare.

It was a little of both. I do think he wanted to "shake off the rust" because in the long run, the more experience he gets against HW's and their dimensions and acclimating himself to their power, it will pay dividends in the long run.

I agree I just don’t think there’re any elite heavyweights at this moment

Personally, I do think Usyk is overrated on this forum and that the hype goes over the top a bit. Ya its not on Golovkins level but its still overboard, imo.

Time will tell though I guess.

Right on. I look forward to it. Hopefully he can remain active and no more injuries.

This fight didn't mean squat. It was a tune up after a layoff. It just shows he is good physically. Hyping him up after this fight is like hyping up any other fighter after they destroyed a hand pick cherry .

Usyk probably would have been an ATG heavyweight if he'd been around any time pre-1960. But the best of the modern big men are going to present some real issues.

Dont be silly. Wilder, Fury and Joshua are gigantic compared to Usyk.

And now, on the one hand, it would be better for Usyk to fight someone like Parker first. But, on the other, it's too risky and I doubt they will risk his mandatory position.
