If you don’t fancy fighting someone then you offer them peanuts to fight knowing that the other fighter will turn it down . Then you say well we offered him the fight. Santa Cruz doesn’t want the fight as it’s too risky with little rewards against a fighter who Is virtually unheard of in the states and who would probably beat him .
Or if you don't fancy fighting someone you say you've been offered peanuts and turn it down. Neither of us know what was offered.
