It'll probably affect his punch resistance.

The fat boy is sucking in air for that photo. Once air is released his gut will be spilling back out.

Ruiz is going to be much quicker than he was in the first fight. Oh poor AJ, and I like him too, but I think his reign will come crashing down after Ruiz sparks him out again. I believed the first fight was a "bit of a fluke" not completely a fluke, due to Ruiz skills. The speed gap was noticeable in the first match. However, I thought AJ might have slept on Ruiz a bit.

Ruiz is coming not only to win but to solidify his future wealth. It may be in AJ's best interests to fake an injury and have Ruiz fight and possibly lose to someone else that isn't such a stylistic nightmare.

Hopefully for him he's got time to adapt to the new weight. Being fat is bad for an athlete, but drastic weight change may be worse.

I personally think coming in slimmer will be a mistake. He added that extra power and durability coming in heavier. Joshua couldn't deal with that strength and weight that hit him. I think Joshua will KO him if he comes in light.

Just in case people don't know, it's for a clothing advert (I think), so it is likely they used photoshop all over. He looks heavier in the video.

Yea dont be surprised AJ gets "injured " in training. Wouldn't be a bad idea at all. If I was his adviser I'd recommend avoiding him like the plague!

It really does make you question the Boxing IQ of Hearn and his Matchroom goons, because the sheer amount of stylistic nightmares they've put their fighters in with this year, and inability to process that the first fight between these two, was not a fluke. It really makes you wonder... do they have any clue as to what they're doing?
