Maybe, but I got the same feeling as @305th that they were changing tack.... No I'll take your word for it. The grin didn't look forced, although maybe that was due to off screen antics too. Still maintain he's more Bruno than Tyson in personality.
but surely you can see the constant Tyson references? That’s where they’re trying to go with him. The black shorts and black gloves (I know it’s a small thing) too.
I agree with you, its @nurological who you should be tellin! Daniel was 8 when a shot Tyson was quitting against Kevin McBRIDE https://www.frankwarren.com/fighters/daniel-dubois/
Dubois was going by the alias ‘dangerous’ at one point, as part of his DDD nickname. Recently however they changed it to ‘Dynamite’, which suggests they didn’t like the idea of him sounding like a ruthless killer and preferred to don the less catchy dynamite instead - playing on his explosive style.
Would love it if Dubois just lost the plot like Lenny from 'Of Mice and Men' just chokeslams that fake American accent announcer dosser that Warren uses for his shows.
This content is protected Frank low balling. Guess we will see Dubois blast out Wallin in 3 round instead, which is a shame.
I think it will be more a case of Allen having an inflated opinion of his worth, driven by - as @tdf1974 pointed out - the huge paydays that Matchroom provide to PPV under carders.
I think it was pretty obvious Frank wasn’t gonna pay him as much as Eddie. Allen has done wonders for Eddie propping up PPV cards to the casuals and has been well paid to do so, while Allen has done nothing for Warren. The fight isn’t gonna happen.
Hopefully someone close to Allen has told him not to be so ridiculous, and that fighting Dubois was a very bad idea. Saying the offer was too low, was the obvious face saving get out.
I'm not too bothered that this mismatch isn't happening. Would rather see Dubois in with somebody better than Allen anyway.
