Did Vitali Klitschko ever beat a Hall Of Fame level boxer in a pro boxing fight?

I would like to clarify that I mean officially beat, as per BoxRec, and not lost but in the opinion of the poster was "robbed".

He probably beat the living shite outta them thus curtailing their run to the HOF. However you get to the hall of fame by winning right? So guessing there's not too many losers there.

None of them are Hall of Fame level, but Vitali was much more superior to all of them. He had the skills to beat HOF level fighters but just seems like there were none in his era either than his Brother

He sent one of them into retirement. After he agreed to give him the rematch...his mama said uh-uh...and he retired.

i think its fair that vitali gets into HoF, because he IS famous for being one of two brothers to hold the HW title at same time, a unique feat (as contrived as that sounds).

Fame is about doing something famous and unique too, and this is that, even if it sounds backdoor.
But of course not on resume, he would never get in on that, his best wins are some of the worst for any titlist historically.

Vitali Klitschko wouldn't have been out of place in any era. He was excellent. He was absolutely the better of the two brothers.

It's a shame that his era was weak, but there wasn't anything he could have done about that. It would have been more interesting had he began his professional career earlier.

True but apart from his brother was there any other HOF’s around that he could have fought when he was champ?

Well to be fair, Hassim Rahman sent vitali into retirement in 2005.

Vitali Klitschko had countless injuries during that period. As if Hasim Rahman, who had already lost several times by then, would send him into retirement. I had to laugh at that.

Yeah then you could also say that Vitali retired for good the second time round because he wanted to avoid Bermane Stiverne. Lol
