Well Dempsey's title reign was through most of the 20s, but he wouldn't be a factor in my top 10 regardless.
That's what freaked me out when I read because I had come up with the exact same cut off for my own list. I'll post it in a bit.
Hmm, I wonder how good an argument you could make for Canzoneri in the top 10? Since he's a lock for top 20. Has the resume and H2H filmed skill. He needs an extensive bio the most IMO.
Yes! It would be a great story. Another would be on the Smashing, Bashing, Crashing Kid Lewis. What an intriguing character. I wonder if anyone in Great Britain ever wrote one on Ted? I got one on Freddie Mills. I need a well written one on the Kid.
Thx. Published in 1992 so maybe I will find it cheaper on ebay. My Sharkey book was $300.00 on Amazon and others. I finally got it out of England for $25.00. Thx again.
Just bought it from Abesbooks in U. K. For 12.99 and 11.oo shipping. Lol. Now I can look forward to an interesting read. Rough did you ever get yhe Bud Taylor book?
Nope, not yet. I still have tons of books to read, when I have time. Close to finishing the Nipper Pat Daly book.
I just think it will be very intersting. My fav era is 1889- 1927. I have endless bios on both great and obscure fighters from this period and scoring a new one is always a good deal.
