I posted something similar last week about this in that the fighters know if they have a chance of turning things round.Even Amir Khan against Crawford could of saved a bad knock out?he tried, failed and bailed out,no shame in that.
Kell Brook fights Golovkin and Spence back to back and he’s soft for taking a knee.

name a sport where refs are 100% accurate correct? Even when there's several of them. Tennis? NO. Basketball? No. Hockey? No. Bottom line is you can't tell, not even a doctor, superficially, if someone has a brain hemorrhage, or brain damage. Boxing is very dangerous. I thought people would get that by now. We are going thru this horrible phase in our culture, where everything has to be scrutinized, everyone is hyper-sensitive, hyper offended, victim blaming, outrage culture... thankfully, we are at the final phases of this period...

I like Steve Willis' stance on this subject

Good post and it really isn’t rocket science. I applauded Eubank snr for telling his son to go to the body of Blackwell and this was after him pleading to stop the fight.

4 judges that seems much maybe just give the 1 doctor more authority or two

I don't think open scoring would do that much

Weight and rabbit punching would be two areas I think a lot of good could be done if rules were changed

At the end of the day brain injuries are invisible unlike cuts and swelling and can happen suddenly

I would bet day is dead not from the ten rounds of boxing but the way his head hit the canvas.

Watson against Eubank was from one big shot and the fall into the ropes

According to the Good Son about Mancini, the doctor who worked on Kim felt the final blow was what killed Kim as well.

We can regulate all we want but there will still be deaths from unseen damage and violent collisions of the head and neck to the canvas and ropes

I feel boxing has implimented a lot of rule changes over the decades but deaths in the ring are still a real occurrence

, they don't even need to be judges but just like support officials or something that are on the lookout through the fight. Good one.

This has been done in some of the local and amateur fights here in Japan. They announce the score in between rounds. Not all the fights but in some. And I sew that in TV too. Good one.

    Yes to me.
    - I wanna add on the PEDing. First Arrest Memo Heredia as he is a PED pusher and anybody the likes of him. Then suspend the PEDers for 3 years 1st offense and Life Ban for 2nd offense. Heck they put Ali in jail for 3 years for not going to Vietnam and we lost 3 yeas of Ali's best years !

Have to be honest when I first saw your title I thought hot myself "what the #%%# bs is this clown going to spew out" but I agree with a lot of what you just said ESPECIALLY the rabbit punching . That s#%t needs to have a no tolerance policy. You do it once you get a warning and a point taken, the second time is a DQ. I cringe when I see it happen. I agree with someone other than the corners deciding on whether to stop fights and overall you make great points. I must say the party about having a fan from a local forum was cringe asf bro lol! seriously? Theres nothing but lunatics on these forums lol

Sickens me when I see comments about killing and wanting a body on record.Wilders celebrations as Spilker was in a bad way, tells me that clown means it.
Contrast that with Canelo who refused to celebrate until he knew Khan was ok.Im not sure much can be done to stop folk getting badly hurt or killed but there should be a limit on words and actions like Chisora and Wilder as it doesn’t look good imo.

Maybe a fight week brain scan to make sure that no brain injury was picked up in training camp?

Except boxing isnt basketball, football, baseball ect... where refs not doing a good job results in a lost play or, at worst, a lost game.

In boxing a ref whose not pulling a fighter out can, and does (on an annual basis) cost a fighter their lives.

And since Im sure youre well aware of that, again... I ask you, what exactly is your problem with small adjustments, like adding extra set of eyes whose sole job it is to have a sense of the fighters well being, being added to help cut back on the amount of deaths and comas in the sport that happen on a yearly basis?

Its absolutely bizarre to me that this suggestion can be brought up, and your response is... that refs already have this job, that refs arent perfect , and people are being hyper sensitive  How is that someones response to people suggesting a panel to further evaluate fighters infight wellbeing?

If fights get an extra panel to evaluate fighter health during the fight... whats it to you? If it can help save a life or two every year... what is your specific problem with it?

Because nothing youve said thus far makes any sense in rejecting it... in fact, saying its already the refs job, and that refs arent infallible, only go towards support of this idea.

Im pretty sure Wilder became actively concerned over Artur when it became apparent it was not a regular knockout.

That's an odd sentiment from someone who is so impassioned about preventing serious harm in the ring. With the absolute greatest of respect, but it's as much the fighters as the refs, or any other official, to stop if something feels or looks seriously untoward. Dave Allen did it against Price.

I've just rewatched the latter rounds of the Day fight. Even with the benefit of that great thing called hindsight, he looked not particularly different from any fighter a minute or two away from being stopped.

100%. This is the problem with heaping responsibility on officials. It becomes the blame game thereafter and it will end up with refs and ringside docs refusing to participate at the risk getting sued.

Boxing is boxing. Sometimes these kind of tragedies happen. It's a blood sport and at the end if the day the fighters know what they're signing up to and unfortunately not all commissions, doctors, refs and cornermen are created equal. Furthermore you'll never see unity or complete agreement on something like this around the globe. I think we all just have to accept the grim realities of our sport. Small improvements in areas like on sight medical attention, brain scans are the only pragmatic solutions without completely destroying or dumbing down the sport.

Boxing being so dangerous is probably a big reason why it’s not so popular today. Many non fans tell me that it’s too violent To be enjoyed

Always hated when fighters celebrate while their opponent is still hurt or unconscious. Or celebrating when you ko a clearly overmatched opponent.
