Rocky Marciano vs the following

He beats all. Lyle is the biggest threat, and might actually have a shot against Marciano of the Moore fight. Marciano of the Walcott rematch should blast him out though, would be a nice 2 sided slugfest. Bonavena gets UD'd. Bugner gets stopped late.

 

Rocky is literally a better version of Bonavena so I dont understand the point of that matchup. He wins a clear ud or stops him late if Bonavena gasses.

Lyle would have the crowd on it's feet from round 1 bringing it. There's a distinct possibility Lyle oulls off a ko if it's the dogged determined one from the shavers fight, but a more likely scenario is Marciano getting to him around rounds 11-13 in a savage war. Marciano would likely need to get off the floor once or twice to do it. His work rate, body punching, and awkward crouch give him an edge over the long haul. Lyle would definitely have a punchers chance and I wouldn't make this fight happen as a manager unless i had no choice as Lyle was very dangerous in a slug fest.

The bugner fight would be horrendous. Id rather watch paint dry. It would be like Tyson vs Mitch Green but 10x worse because Rocky, bless his heart, would try his best to please the crowd and go for a knockout despite his corner yelling at him and bugner doing everything to avoid engaging and surviving. Even when Rocky does land Bugner had a decent enough chin to survive, clinch, reset, and frustrate rocky with an annoying jab move and turtle up strategy. Rocky wins by a lopsided decision.

I think Lyle poses the most danger size, strength ,and power, but I go for Rocky. Marciano beats Bonavena who was a poorer version of himself imo.Bugner was better than a lot of Rocky's opponents but too passive to win this on points.

 

Lyle would end up knocking Marciano out, I wouldn't put Marciano against almost anyone who was a better slugger with atleast as good of a chin.

Marciano probably beats bonavena and bugner by u.d.

 

This. Those guys couldn't beat Rocky, though Lyle might knock him down. Rocky would have worn his down, big time.

 

Is there anyone comparable to Lyle or Bugner on Rockys LHW-CW resume?

 

Shoot, I put old man Louis up against either of those fools. Just my opinion.

 

I´d feel bad for the ghost of Louis going against the powerful Lyle. I see him beeing stopped.

Bonavena was a very good fighter, but unfortunately never lived up to his potential and would get stopped by Marciano.

Bugner was tough and when he showed up fight could be a tough night for anyone, but I see Marciano beating him and maybe even stopping him.

Lyle relied too much on his strength and power, which would would be his undoing against Marciano. Quarry, Peralta, and Young all beat Lyle for a reason.

 

I would make him favorite over all, with Lyle being the potential banana skin.

 

He, of course, beats them all in rather convincing fashion.

 

For size and quality at that size ,no.
