Beterbiev destroys Meng in a round. He doesn't belong in the same ring with him. His health is actually at risk.
Poor Meng. I'm betting he pulls out of the fight like most of Beterbiev's opponents do. Why should he take on a huge and powerful LHW who poses a real health risk, for comparative peanuts?
A fight against young, hungry, unbeaten lion in chinese las vegas. There are 14 LHW's in china and Fanlong rated 1, dangerous fight. **** you Bob
How is it Bob's but not IBF's fault? Meng was Beterbiev's mandatory even before the Gvozdyk fight, but they allowed him to unify. Most probably, there was an agreement that he would fight the mandatory right afterwards.
If it will be in China, and for there anniversary, maybe Meng will be allowed to eat whatever he wants.I believe eating some things can make miracle with athletes.I'm not saying he will beat Beterbiev, but we can be surprised that Meng can do more than just last more than 1 round.Still. i think best he can do is to try to put the fight in to last rounds.
I think the important in that comment was not that Meng is mandatory, but that the fight will be in China. The champion will go to other country, not his home, not neutral, but the country of his opponent, that's what some people are talking about. For me, not a big deal, AB will earn good money for that, and people in China can look live at one ot the best P4P.
In another country? So what? I'm sure Beterbiev doesn't care about such things almost at all. Also, all his fans in Russia will be able to watch the fight comfortably in the evening and not like at 4 am.
Meng is decent actually but in way over his head here. He should fight journeyman Marcus Browne while Beterbiev takes care of business against Bivol.
Meng is underrated imo. He is a quick, rangy, cagey counter punching southpaw. Out of all the chinese boxers, he is the most polished that i've seen. He has the perfect style to trouble Beterbiev imo, although not the perfect body as he lacks the physical strength and power to hold Beterbiev off. Also his durability is questionable since he hasn't fought that many world class fighters and generally lacks experience. All in all i think Meng can surprise Artur, maybe even buzz him a few times with a left uppercut and frustrate him with his jab. However, he doesn't have the strength and stamina to keep Beterbiev off for 12 and he has a bad tedency to brawl at times. That is a fatal mistake against Artur. Beterbiev KO 8.
Beterbiev in 6. Meng will fiddle his way through early rounds but by rd 4 Beterbiev should be landing solid enough to break Meng down.
