I think Kellerman was at least partially right... :dunno Gvozdyk wanted out of that fight by the end of the previous round.
He already realized he wouldn't be able to beat Beterbiev that night...

The ref did a lot to help Gvozdyk throughout the fight. Gvozdyk got every opportunity to nick a breather, a few seconds, separation by the ref and so on. In the end, nothing could help Gvozdyk as Beterbiev was overwhelmingly the better man on the night.

Kellerman always does that, it's his way of covering up his dislike of certain boxers - he'll pretend to be fair and objective, and then come out with an unfair and insulting lie.

He said "Gvozdyk quit" after the 9th round. Watch the tenth - Gvozdyk was badly beaten up, but HE DID NOT QUIT.

Max has lost all credibility since he started slumming with Stephen A.

BB was wrecking that body all fight long and it manifested itself in the later rounds. Kill the body and the head will die.

Can't stand the man and given the tragic news this week one would of thought after such a gruelling battle to even talk about someone quitting is disrespectful. Then again since when did Kellerman ever care about respect? You can imagine the f**** talking shot about you,the minute you leave the room.
you can't fake being a Rat such as he does, makes Ellie Sechbac likeable lol.

Where does this punk get off saying this guy quit in his corner after the 9th round? He was in with a killer fighter, the kind who can do permanent damage to you. His corner should have come in with the towel when he started going down in the 10th round or even before. Teddy should have canned his pep talks and stopped the fight when it was obvious that he couldn't hold off AB and could be seriously hurt. How many announcers do they need anyway? All these guys just like to hear themselves talk. Kellerman is a big nothing who is useless to boxing

Let's just assume for the sake of argument that Gvozdyk did quit, which FTR he didn't. Why are we even having this conversation after the tragic events of last week? Not even a week has passed since the tragic passing of Patrick Day and people don't even have the common decency to refrain from throwing about the ''quitter'' label.

And not only that they're doing so about a fighter who took a ton of brutally heavy brain-rattling bombs to the head and absolutely debilitating energy-sapping blows to the body from one of the top 3 hardest punchers in the sport who in addition to possessing savage power in both hands also possesses freakish physical strength, is very tough and durable, has a high ring IQ and very underrated boxing ability, is absolutely relentless with a capital R and has seemingly limitless stamina, an extremely rare and formidable combination of attributes for any fighter to possess.

But on top of last weeks tragedy, Gvozdyk also saw his stablemate Maxim Dadashev tragically lose his life after suffering a brain injury earlier this year and did you clowns forget about this?

He wanted out the minute he signed Atlas as his trainer.

He checked out between rounds. He didn’t literally quit until the following round. Why do you think Atlas was basically begging him?

He went down three times without ever getting hit a clean punch to cause any of those knockdowns in the final round. That is quitting.

He mentally packed it in after that 9th round. Kellerman just used the wrong word in the heat of the fight.

Listen to Kellerman's post fight comments during the interview on the previous page. Hits the nail on the head. Pure class.

Watching it live I thought once the fight was over we was safe from hearing Max drool over Andre Ward or “Story of the Fight”.. Then at the end of the broadcast he was able to squeeze in how great Andre Ward was and Beterbiev won the “story of the fight” like Ward vs Kovalev II.. smh
