Haye's the most overrated CW in history. He beat Mormeck in a war, then beat glass-chinned Enzo and fled the division like he'd just done a rancid fart in a lift. No longevity, crappy shallow resume, struggles with the best in the division at the time, losses to mediocre talents. What in the hell did he ever do besides run his mouth to make anyone believe he was such an ATG CW?
Haye's ring iq was awful and his stamina was extremely suspect. He won fights based on being fast and explosive, which allowed him to take reckless chances against more defensively sound fighters and have them pay off more often than not. He'd have no such advantage over Usyk, and would get soundly worked out and beaten up down the stretch. Anyone who claims he'd have the remotest chance to beat the Feel Deal has an agenda against Usyk or doesn't know what sport they're watching.
I think the thing about Usyk is that he really is the perfect TEXTBOOK boxer. If you read the text book on what a perfect boxer should do then that is what Usyk does. And i think that is what i find so unexciting to watch....there are no special effects, no slug fests, no signature shots, no flair of any kind...and his footwork is textbook perfect but looks almost awkward (maybe because of being Southpaw). I cant see him holding off someone like Holyfield...correct me if i am wrong but it seems to me like Usyk has just outboxed other boxers so far? He hasnt really "fought" anyone....happy to be wrong on this and just my opinion.
Nope, and that's a pretty wild extrapolation for you to make. I guess you're one of those types who feels comfortable making the Evil Knievel leap from "A could mean B" to "A must absolutely mean B". Cool. Good luck with that.
He may be, or not. I have no compelling reason to suspect that he isn't. Until I do, innocence presumed.
None of your "reasons" are compelling to me, and whatever you may think even you know you have nothing even close to an "Evan Fields" type of smoking gun, so I don't.
usyks body hasn’t really changed at all, and his weight gain is nothing that eating an extra steak a day couldn’t do. I would hedge my bets on clean
b-b-b-b-but how could he do XYZ? ...idk, by just honing the craft and channeling his talent until he became really good? SHOCKING.
It’s just fanboy excuse making as none of these guys truly believe Usyk beats Holyfield. Usyk has one of the most obvious steroid bodies in the sport, right up there with Anthony Joshua. But like you say all elite fighters are using or have used, to think otherwise is plain naive.
Bending over backwards with this Pollyana garbage to normalize cheating so you don't have to experience any cognitive dissonance over your desire to deep-throat Evander's chocolate munchkins.
I would bet my mortgage that bellew was clean all his career. Probably even beating a juiced up haye. Yet still managed to win a strap and compete with the best.
