    Lol at your sig.

I tend to agree with @Unforgiven on here and he’s a good poster but removing padding from gloves if true cannot be condoned.

I spar every Sunday myself and one of the fundamental things for us recreational guys is to create parity. If an experienced guy is sparring a newcomer they have to take it easy with the power shots. Same with heavy guys in with lighter guys etc.

Some sort of secret underhand tactic designed to hurt an opponent is just abhorrent behaviour.

As I said in the OP it warrants a response from Fury’s team.

I’m very surprised that no mainstream media or even the general forum on here has picked up on this. Maybe that adds some weight to @Unforgiven’s line of thought on the matter....

I dunno, whatever happens it needs to be addressed first by Davison.

Not if his hands are being wrapped with more tap/padding, plus the head gear on the sparring partner.

Davison has replied to someone on Twitter about it. Dismissed it out of hand, as you'd expect I guess whether it's true or not.

It's completely beyond the pale mate. Fury is innocent til proven guilty and I'm not suggesting he did, but seeing usually sensible posters condoning it is absolutely mental and rather sad unironically.

There's next to no moral hurdle from literally endorsing it in sparring to a proper fight, if anything given what's at stake in a sanctioned bout they'll probably support it more. And that's when things get very very murky indeed - particularly in light of recent deaths and serious injuries.

I know it goes on, I know a lad in my old gym who used to double wrap his hands in the Ama's and had a high stoppage ratio which suddenly went when he went Pro. Connected? Who knows.

People outraged at Wilder's "muh body on record" line completely fine with the notion of removing padding. GTFO here.

    from 2015:

    https://www.chicagotribune.com/subu...eff-bonato-column-st-1204-20151204-story.html

Asberry was obviously a key member of the Fury team in the past but has since fallen out of favour, been stopped by a bum and not fought in 3 years. The evidence is heavily weighted in Fury's favour and anyone believing this guys ludicrous 'story' seriously needs their head checking, it's fake news and absolutely stinks of desperation. When you become as famous as Fury has (who is now a crossover sports star) everyone will try and piggyback on that success.

this "Fury wouldn't risk his hands" line.. well..

He really wouldn't be, depending on where the padding was removed and just how much, If his hands are wrapped in a way to take that in to account then it would minimise the risk and most importantly people spar with big padded HEADGEAR on, so you would be hitting skull/bone.

All and I mean ALL sparring gets talked about, it passes from fighter to fighter, trainer to trainer, that's why we hear rumours and tales about people getting knocked out, stopped or dropped in sparring.

Sparring information is basically SOLD in some cases, what people are working on in the gym, tactics, it's all spoken about and sold (not for cash most of the time but for favours).

So if Fury's sparring partners are coming out of those spars with badly bruised bodies or bruised ribs and those punches feel very solid and hard then that gets spoken about and passed on, it enhances Fury's reputation and the "danger" he represents.

Fury's power is constantly criticised so wouldn't it be great if Fury was hurting sparring partners with huge gloves on, wouldn't it be great of those stories circulated and made other fighters slightly weary of Fury and his "power"

Well that message didn't get to Otto Wallin who pretty much walked through Fury and his "power".

And Fury would have known, if his trainer has said or says anything acknowledging this and starts apologising then he is taking the blame for Fury, you KNOW if your gloves are not right within seconds, you can feel the padding around you knuckles immediately when your hand is going in to the glove even with wraps on.

You really push your hand in to a gloves when first on, you push the knuckle part to make sure your hand is in the glove fully and also push the knuckle part in to the other palm/wrist or front of the other glove to make sure your hands are comfortable before you lace and tape..

If this is true then Fury knew, 100% he knew.

Tyson Fury can do anything on here and people will defend him.

Could be that the gloves were even custom ordered that way. That said, ultimately it's your responsibility to make sure you aren't sparring someone with gloves that can hurt you.

Doesn't look good in that video, will be interesting to see what the response is from Fury's side. I don't see the advantage of him doing that but still, that doesn't meant much

I’m a critic of Fury but I’m also guilty of throwing on a random pair of gloves before a spar and before too long realised I could feel my knuckles on the guys head. I stopped mid round and apologised, then changed gloves. Gloves wear out and this kind of thing happens but you certainly don’t do a few rounds in gloves like that. Mug tactics IF true

In fairness he hardly goes full out on him and Zelenoff is an absolutely twat, sucker punching old men and anyone else he claims to beat. If anyone deserves a full punch from Wilder, it’s him.

Perhaps he could not afford proper gloves and gave the nice new ones to the other fella? After all, Tyson had been sparring in the same undies for years before being able to get proper gear.

These things do happen but someone claiming to be the lineal heavyweight champion of the world probably needs to be held to account, if its true of course.

Blatant key board warrior above. Anyone who has boxed amateur or pro will know that removing padding from sparring gloves is a BIG no no.

On a bigger level, boxings got a bad enough name - especially with recent deaths and with alot of them being attributed to hard sparring in the run up to their fatal fight. So this is dreadful publicity.

Looks like those gloves have been chucked in the shopping trolley disused whereas the new ones are all hung up on the pegs. Does anyone have any proof that Tyson Fury has ever put that pair of gloves on and hit someone with them?

    Like I said, Gym tales.
