He's more in the lines of a great defensive fighter & counterpuncher. Not very offensive per say.

Chavez. I love to watch him work. hagler when he is in a rhythm. Young Foreman as a champion. Hearns. Duran for intensity.

    Roberto Duran:
Feinting, growling, bobbing his way in like a maniac, then unloading vicious combinations. Brilliant.

    Manny Pacquiao:
From the old style frantic attacking that rolled over Barrera and Morales, to the new pirouette round the centre of the ring unleashing laser-accurate shots style that crumpled Diaz and Hatton, and that Oscar couldn't touch. This guy is offence.

Others: Arguello, Chavez, Jones Jr, Pryor, Olivares

Hey, Poppy, Check out the" Top Latino Fighters" Thread. Sal Sanchez very close to the top Five! Not bad for a Non-Elite fighter!!:deal:good

Close to the top five, but sadly he doesn't seem to have cracked that elusive top five elite level. Shame. :-(

I just had a look at the thread. For me, having Benitez above Sanchez cannot be justified in any way. Sanchez is clearly greater in p4p terms.

ie: Sanchez is closer to elite level than Benitez. :D

Julio Cesar Chavez and Joe Louis for me.

Louis had the better jab. Chavez was more effective cutting off the ring.

Louis had better one punch power. Chavez attacked he body better.

I don't want to choose which is better. I'd rather just enjoy their footage equally.

Of my top 5 favourite fighters, I'd only class 1 as an offensive fighter and that's Marvin Johnson, I would say Tommy Hearns, but he's more of a boxer puncher imo.

So Marvin Johnson is a clear number 1, his pure aggression southpaw style is a favourite of mine, as I love all things southpaw and like fighters with weaknesses. And Johnson has a gas tank issue, as well as an imperfect mandible. He's also a LHW, which we all know is my favourite. His repeated left uppercut is something I'll never get tired of watching He has a nice defence, granted it's far from Duran or Whitaker, but he tries, bless him.

Are guys like Saad and Chacon classed as offensive fighters? Coz if they are they're 2&3. I'd class them as offensive fighters personally but I thought **** it why not and so I'll give a few more.

At number 4, we probably have Duran. Hands of Stone is one of the most skilled fighters of all time, watching him fight during his peak is unbelievable. His mixture of feints, spinning opponents, head movement and grappling combined with his physical attributes like an ATG chin, strength and endurance with great workrate and power makes him one of, if not, the best offensive fighters on history.

Number 5? Bob Foster, his left hook follow through after s slipped/missed right hand is one of my favourite punches ever. Some brutal KOs with it. I like thinking about possible match ups with him involved. Bob may have been a murderous evil preying mantis in the ring but was a nice guy outside, who seemed to really care about his opponents after he stopped them.
He's not exactly bulletproof but he wasn't stopped at 175. The only thing I don't like about him is the year he was born, if only it was 15 years earlier.

I'm also a huge fan of Gavalin, Little Red, Chang, Frazier, Patterson, Pacquiao and about 50 other guys.

As for today's game, it's GGG, Loma, Inoue, Gonzalez and Beterbiev.
In fact, GGG is probably above Foster, but I've already typed it out for Foster and my OCD won't let me do 6.
