It is a sad inditement on U.K. boxing channels and promoters that not one single channel bothered to pick up one of the top 5 fights of 2019 live. It wouldn’t have cost that much surely?

I wonder if the goalposts have changed 're casual fans?I consider myself a casual as I can only watch fights with those who I know,can't even watch most of the undercards.Go back to when boxing names were household names such as Tyson,Lennox and in the UK Bruno,Eubank,Benn and Naseem Hamed most sport fans had a vested interest in how they did.Boxing now has had a bit of a renaissance esp in Britain with Joshua and Fury but that's about it.We keep being told that Canelo is a huge name and he is within boxing but the traditional casual fan hasn't heard of Canelo imo. IB one of the most knowledgeable guys I've come across on here on boxing said Beterbiev and Gvodzyk had him in tears the other night such was the skill on display.I think we can say that whenever we get these genuine 50/50 fights,they always deliver.Beterbiev rose to the occasion as all the best pros do,his positioning was remarkable and upon seeing it again you can see whilst Gvodzyk was scoring Beterbiev was nearly always in a position to rock back a little and ride the shots,masterful stuff. Gvodzyk imo will perhaps rue how he kept ducking down,taking shots to the side,behind the head?
Yeah it sucks but doable and better than not watching at all if you have to be somewhere. I watched more than a few fights out for dinner and two while at a nightclub.
