Was a fantastic fight credit to both and great see elite level boxing. prograis will be back. Had it a draw myself but couldnt complain ,would love see rematch but if i was them would try take an easier fight first after that
I singlehandedly started the boos for David Haye when he was giving his interview after the Chisora fight. I didn't boo him for any particular reason I just wanted to see if the crowd were that easily lead and they were lol
Regis won 5 of the first 6 and the last 2. Hurt him badly in the 12th. He won at least 7-5. But the fix was in. Home cooked decision. The Italy judge was definitely paid off. No yank will want to travel after seeing that last night. Josh did better than I expected but no way will he rematch Regis. Watch them duck the rematch. If that was a 15 round fight he would have stopped Taylor and they know that. Taylor’s tough though .. very tough. You have to give it to him he’s a very tough guy. Shame he isn’t a bit more likeable that’s all...great fight.
Absolutely brilliant fight, brilliant performance from both fighters, a credit to themselves, the division and the sport. It was close but I think Taylor edged it, certainly no robbery. Regis conducted himself superbly afterwards, he'll be back and he'll be a World Champion again.
The 6th was the first clear round for JT. Admittedly the first was very close. The absolute best you could say for josh is he was even after 10. 5-5 after 10 and that’s being kind to josh. 7-5 after 12. Regis won the last 2 clearly. Agreed?
These guys are very evenly matched but I think Taylor's physical size gives him the edge. He was leaning on Prograis in the clinch which sapped the American's energy. I said it last night and I'll say it again; that closed eye was Taylor's biggest issue in the last two rounds. He was afraid to let the hands go. Without that injury he wins at least one of the last two rounds. The toughness shown by both was incredible. We know both can bang yet both withstood huge bombs to body and head. Anyone else in the division would've went down against either man last night. They just have to do it again!!
It was an absolute war. To give Hearn credit, he gets flak for cards often deservedly, but it's bouts like that boxing here needs. Scotland have a bone fide star in the making there.
Great fight. Watched at my mates house, and we have 7 crammed in his front room, and they were loving the fight. I had it 7-5 Taylor, but draw was perfectly fine score too.
Have to say the cards last night look very dodgy. One judge gave Taylor the 12th which won him the fight.
