All things considered. Joe Louis' KO of Walcott was amazing. It was like the old Joe Louis came back to life. This content is protected
Foreman winning the HW championship In his comeback against Moorer. Marciano having to KO Charles because of a bad cut that would have stopped the fight someone mentioned Tyson Fury getting up against Wilded from what looked like death lol that was impressive Roy Jones hands behind the back KO Ali’s Mirage
If I had to pick one from my previous list it’s definitely Foreman knocking out Moorer. At his age to do thag was nothing short of a miracle. Still get goosebumps when I watch it.

Walcott stopping Charles to win the title after he had already lost in four attempts to win the title, twice against Louis and twice against Charles. Not only in winning, but the way he did it with as beautiful a left hook as anyone has ever landed.
I'm a big Duran fan so maybe biased. Duran W15 Leonard 1 Leonard was an ATG welterweight and pfp fighter. Much bigger, faster, stronger, more naturally talented. Bar maybe Robinson, there's arguably no welterweight or light welterweight that could have beaten Leonard in that fight, but Lightweight Duran did it. Think about that. There's no greater win in the history of boxing for me.
Derrick Holmes went down eight times in losing to Wilfredo Gomez by fifth-round TKO, at least once or maybe twice going down voluntarily without getting hit at all. Turns out, Gomez fractured his jaw, probably on the first knockdown in the second round, I believe it was. By fractured, I mean there was a crack in the jaw going up and down that you could plainly see in the X-rays that were printed by Ring Magazine. And this fracture line went right up to one of his lower teeth and that tooth was literally broken into two pieces (vertically) — split up the middle from the roots up. Gomez was fighting at 122 pounds. Yeah, smaller guys fight smaller guys but bone is bone and the idea that a guy weighing so little had enough power to do that is completely insane. And the fact that Holmes — who looked like a coward at the time — had enough courage to keep trying and getting up again is amazing ... not sure I’ve seen anything braver in the ring.
I mentioned it recently in another thread. Benny Leonard 'accidently' knocking out Jack Britton in a Welterweight World Title fight. A reflex hook and Jack was taking a 10 count. Benny didn't panic as usual he went over and nailed Britton while he was down so he would get DQ'd. Leonard wasn't supposed to win that nite. Arnold Rothstein or whoever needed him to lose that nite. Benny hated losing.
Your correct. Sugar Ray had the agility and footwork to glide out of range and then stop on a dime and let those hooks go. He wasn't even close to his prime anymore.
The well known "You got to get inside now" fight. Spitting out mouthpiece, eye swollen shut dropped again, only to land a barrage that had Castillo totally out on his feet. Greatest come from behind in same round feat I can think of. Larry Holmes over Norton. Leading up to the fight 6 days, injured tendon in bicep. 1. he was told call it off, hard headed said no. 2. Richie Giacchetti told him in final round 'You got the fight, now move, stay away, don't get hit, don't get caught.' Hard head said no, so he did the exact opposite, thinking he was ahead on cards not realizing they had it almost even. Had he postponed, he may have never became champ or at least ruled as long. Had he followed his ring instructions final round (think Meldrick Taylor or DLH they followed their team's advise and lost. Holmes' history as an ATG came by accomplishing the feat by rejecting all sound advice from doctors and his team, LMAO! As Eddie Murphy routine on Holmes "F' the judges, F the ref, F the fighter, F my fans. F all my fans. LOL! Well to me that is what he did to the advice given! IT WORKED!!!
decent thread from a few years back discussed the different perspectives of that fight. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/benny-leonard-v-jack-britton-rematch.396318/
