Dias is nothing much though. Id probably pick him to KO the much bigger Hatton. he's definitely top 2 p4p with JMM for me, compare than with Calzaghe's slap-happy performances.
Him vs. Hatton would be a stellar fight but IMO the size disadvantage could be a critical factor. Also, I have a hard time imagining how the two styles could/would clash...
Manny had a stellar ****in' performance.. He had a variety of punches from the right hand to uppercuts.. Manny beat Diaz down and was still fast as ever..
Manny looks comfortable at this weight.. Note that after setting a hellish pace youd think he'd gas. In the 8th round he managed to kick it up another notch..this shows how well conditioned he is. Also, He took more bodyshots than Ive ever seen him take and it had no affect.. It has to be the cuttingm he looked so relaxed out there
It was a total beating, at about the 5th round the first thing that popped into mind was Calzaghe/Lacy, its defintely on par with that if not more harsh.
It probably was a good thing he got stopped, would have been worse letting him be pounded like that for 12 rounds.
yep. not having to starve himself and be weight-drained to make weight had a lot to do with his performance tonight. pac's a legit 135-lber now and his speed and stamina are back. he came in @145, the perfect weight for him. and he didn't have to re-hydrate that much unlike @130.
