Conteh UD. Calzaghe is very underrated on this board, but I don't see any reason to favour him over a prime Conteh at 175, who was a beautiful stylist with one of the best lefts ever.
Conteh wide! I rate Calzaghe highly but not enough to pick him at LHW against a quality guy like Conteh.
Who did Coneth beat again? He lost and drew to mid level fighters. Clazaghe had a way making the other guy look really bad. It would not be an easy fight, but I see Clazaghe's speed and defense being the difference here on points.
Conteh has a much smaller peak but at his absolute best he’d run Calzaghe all the way. I still give Calzaghe an edge. I think he’s ridiculously underrated. Intelligent, adaptable fighter with a great will.
Calzaghe. Just way too busy in a decision bout. Conteh liked that one gear of his. Problem is a Calzaghe bout is about 2 gears higher than that. And I think the southpaw style creates footwork and ability to close the distance major problems for Conteh.
Conteh UD Calzaghes pitty pat power at 175 lbs will allow Conteh to confidently stay in range, where is classy jab and hooks, with the occasional right hand will pile up the points. He will be able to tie up Joe when he does get inside and reset.
