I view Canelo and the push to make him great one of the most ridiculous things of the modern era. He’s a good fighter but that’s it. Been loaded with PEDs all the way, created weight classes, selective matchmaking and of course rigged judging. Also blatant paying off of media members to spin him in a certain light.
I tend to think of Mexicans as being very real. They mince their words less. Most of my friends are Mexican yet I only know one Canelo fan.
i think it's irrelevant to be honest. 175 is too much for him imo but he still pulled it out tonight.
What he's done is pretty impressive. He's stepped way out of his comfort zone and if he is smart (imo) he'll slip back down. I couldn't see GGG beating him in a third match.
Me neither, but I think that this now has as much to do with Golovkin rapidly heading towards his 38th birthday, than anything else. And, maintaining the theme of this thread, it might be a likely course for Canelo...
