Don't know how you felt but I actually felt sorry for crolla going out like that.the whole thing just seemed off to me.
When you look at Eddie's cards this year. You really wouldn't fancy coming over as an away fighter unless you really were positive of winning. Whytes drugs test Whytes gloves Katie Taylor's win in MSG Tonight Charlie Edward's debacle And a good few more dodgy cards I am too tired to remember
Sorry for him? How many fighters get a send off like that and a whole show built around them leaving the sport. Not to mention the gift decision. I feel sorry for the guy who actually won that fight.
Bit of a bizarre event that, with Crolla getting an emotional send off like he’s about to set sail for the undying lands with Frodo and Gandalf. Fair enough if people want to fill out an arena for him, I suppose I just never realised he was such a big deal. The Spanish lad getting robbed was a disgrace, and then the lack of shits given by the pundits, who were clearly just there to give eulogies.
Also the people who backed him for long odds who are denied a payout. There is surely some legal accountability here and there should be some sort of independent authority who look into things like this retrospectively.
30 quid on Cash Ko and Taylor crolla points so I'll take them bent scorecards. 98 92 probably worst scorecard I've ever seen
I'm sure he was delighted with the support and the wonga he received but he lost that fight and he knew it.would have been more poignant if the right man got the nod imo.
Crolla knew he’d lost. Look at his reaction after the fight. Cards like that can ruin fighters careers. I hope Hearn does the right thing and gets that guy another fight on one of his cards.
Probably earnt more tonight than his opponent has in his entire career. I agree with what you said, but if theres anyone to feel sorry for it's the guy who won the fight.
Taylor boxed well and deserved the win against a decent opponent. She's a great boxer but a poor brawler. She fought an awful fight v Persoon and I was disgusted she didn't rematch her immediately. I'm glad she mentioned the rematch tonight and it has to happen. I've believed she's been on the wane for years now. She's 33. Her prime years were seven years ago. It's testament to her talent that she's still picking up titles vut she lost to Persoon and will lose again I feel if she stays in the sport much longer. Persoon rematch and another strap or two and that should be it. If she boxes smart she can do it and it'd be a great way to bow out. Talk of moving up in weight again is silly. She won't be satisfied til she's beaten to a pulp.
I agree mate. Would have loved to have seen him actually enjoy himself, and Joe telling him to go out and have fun in the last round and all that. He looked completely shot. He’s done well for himself with the talent he had so fair play but I think it does him more harm going out on terrible scorecards like that. Feel sorry for the other lad more though.
