    Near unconscious?

He was clearly fully cognizant whilst resting his arms on the ropes, waiting for what I can only imagine, the fight to be stopped.

I felt the exact same thing during the match. No power shots, no pressure from Kovalev. When Canelo is near ropes, instead of throwing power shots Kovalev backs away to give space to Canelo.

    This match was fixed.

There are certain knockouts you see that you can 100% rule out of being a dive, this was not one of those knockouts. Whilst it’s also not a clear dive the events leading upto it are a cause for concern. The way the fight unfolded, there wasn’t a single punch that looked painful with two of the sports big punchers going at it. Weird fight and I love Canelo

Im telling you, i've always been a big fan of canelo. You can look through my 10 years of posts for this. It looked like an obvious dive to me.

He already makes multi millions per fight, he's the cash cow of the sport, any increase in viewership by way of a single fixed KO is almost meaningless. He didn't build his mystique or drawing power on getting KO's like Wilder has, he's not going to be doing that going forward fighting top guys. He's not going to be viewed as a KO machine after this. trust me. And I repeat, expecting a boxer to agree to be knocked out rather than more realistically agree to be dropped a bunch of times in dramatic back and forth stretches before a loss on cards is simply ridiculous. A high tempo fight like that which ends on cards is arguably more exciting for people than one where the opponent pitty pats with a jab for 11 rounds only to suddenly get stopped.

I’m usually the guy laughing at people when they say a fight is fixed but this felt dodgy throughout

Kovalev knew if he threw big jabs he would be prone to big counters to the body. Perhaps he had too much respect for canelo and should have went balls to the wall for an early ko but that's just playing Monday morning quarterback. I am honestly shocked that canelo had the power to k kovalev tfo especially late in the fight like that.

I dont think it was staged at all. This guy is on heavy drugs and it is bull he keeps getting away with it and the one time he was caught they did practically nothing
