He's moving up to 168 and instead of fighting Super Middleweights his next opponent is a Middleweight who only fought above 160 twice - and it was at 161 and 163. What the **** is going on in his head btw? He's a first grade clown.
Both Charlos at least got their lesson which humbled them and they both fought at least a couple of decent opponents (Trout, Korobov, Harrison, J-Rock, Lubin, Vanes, Rosado). But Saunders not even close to fighting anyone who is more than cannon fodder. REALLY cannon fodder. Not even close. Saunders has some decent wins at 160. Lee, Eubank, Akavov, Lemieux, Monroe Jr...but come on. Adamu, Isufi, Coceres.... You have to think his opponents getting better.
It's just a tune up, as his career as been frustratingly stop-start over the past few years. There's talk of him fighting Callum Smith next year. The fight I want to see him against is Canelo.
He checked out of taking the sport seriously right about the time he got busted for peds funnily enough. The bloke is a meme with a cult of gullible fans who think he's suddenly going to change the literal habit of a lifetime overnight.
Saunders is Nothing more than a disrespectful thug and there is an ego altering beating waiting around the corner for him should he decide to step up the competition
I can't see either of them going back to MW anytime soon. A match up at SMW would be good. I don't think Canelo would want the fight though. It's very frustrating being a fan of Billy's. But when he's switched on he's a handful for anyone. It would be a bad match up for Canelo stylistically. Billy's very talented.
