It is often read on the Internet that Mayweather fought almost the same weight as weighing (for example, it was announced that Mayweather had boxed Maidana at 148 pounds). I also found 150 for Ortiz. You think it's true? I doubt it for several reasons: - Visually Mayweather seems dehydrated during weighing. Less than a Canelo in 2011-2015 of course but still dehydrated. - The case of the IV bag against Pacquiao. - His refusal to be weighed after Ortiz (during the tale of the tape against Pacquiao there was a?) In his fight night box. For my part I think he really weighed 150 against Ortiz but that from Cotto he took a few pounds. I think Mayweather did most of his 2013-2015 fights at around 155 pounds.
I've always said that Mayweather is a lot bigger/heavier than he lets on. I mean, when you refuse to step on the fight night scale, you're clearly hiding something.
He refused to do so for years until Ortiz. Then he was 150 lbs. So he just lied that one time? And during his his days before De La Hoya, I believe Floyd always weighed for fight night weights. And he rarely re-hydrated more than a pound or two. I seriously doubt Floyd was ever at 160 lbs. Dude was always shredded and never looked big. Floyd and Pac both benefited from not having to focus on making weight.
I know it was a farce but for the McGregor fight I’m sure he weighed in at 143lbs not sure about in the ring.
He was weighed at 149 pounds. And even if the difference with Conor was huge, it seemed heavier the next day.
Oh ok I stand corrected.wonder where I got that from?may of been his fight with the Japanese midget lol
Mayweather was big. He was just telling HBO to put up 148-151lbs on any given night as an unofficial weight and they complied. 1. Stopped even bothering to step on the unofficial scale at the end of his career. 2. IV bags 3. when he was pissing dark brown on 24/7. That's either severe dehydration or some kind of drugs he was actively on.
