I think even on his last fight a few of us called him “DONE” and even encouraged him to retire however he would have been crazy to turn down this fight with the amount of money promised to him.

Now my first pick when this was announced was for Canelo to win by TKO using his inside uppercut but then I read your very logical breakdown of the fight and decided you had some valid points. I then jumped on the Krusher can do it and not be troubled by Big Red but boy were we wrong.

i had Krusher winning the fight on the cards but in the end Canelo put him to sleep worse than he did poor Khan and my boy Kirkland.

I am a fan of boxing and like to think I keep my personal feelings out of predictions but Canelo makes it difficult due to his failed test and history of waiting for fighters to exit prime or peak before he steps up to them but when he does he WINS.
Respect to Big Red for a brutal KO on a faded champ as all is fair when you sign the contract

Seeing as you have a severe reading disability, your mistake is expected.

I like Canelo more than most and don't like Kova because he seems to be a bit of a sociopath.

That said, Kova is the definition of a shot powerpuncher.

Props to Saul for following a fight plan and being tough. But let's not confuse that guy in the ring opposite him with anything near a prime Kova.

I'm not making excuses for Kovalev, quite the contrary. I'm saying he was implicit in the execution of this farcical event that masqueraded as a boxing match.

GGG won the WBA regular title in 2010. At this point, Felix Sturm was both the WBA super and IBF champ. He wasn't trying to fight GGG. Sturm lost the WBA strap to Geale, and the IBF to Barker. Geale ducked GGG so hard, that he was stripped and GGG was promoted to super champ. The IBF title changed hands like hot potato until it got to Lemieux. GGG unified and destroyed Lemieux. Cotto won the WBC belt off of Martinez, then ducked GGG just to lose to Canelo. Canelo vacated the title and moved down to face Liam Smith, so GGG was promoted to WBC world champ. Andy Lee lost his WBO belt to Saunders. Saunders priced himself out of a match against GGG and held the title hostage, until he was stripped for "nasal spray".

It's not GGG's fault that no big names at 160 could or would face him for years. He looks bad against Brook, now all of a sudden Jacobs is around and Canelo realizes that he's a middleweight.

If you can’t find fights and it’s not your problem, you move up and do whatever you can to score big name opponents. You don’t just sit in one place fighting hopeless guys and beg for a payday. He eventually got his payday, lost and now he’s 38 and left with nothing. These are all issues only Golovkin should have addressed at the time. You can’t blame others for it.

He was on the verge of facing the biggest name from 154-168 besides Mayweather. When Canelo ducked, the WBC gave him the belt. Now, he held 3 of the 4 major world titles. Why would he move up, when he was one victory away from becoming undisputed? Saunders is such a coward for what he did. GGG's 38 and just won the IBF strap again. Could be worse.

Lara was at 154, it’s up to Lara to come to 160.

Froch was offered the fight at 168 and he retired.

Charlo is still feasting on blown up 154lbers. And should be giving Korobov a rematch.

Hopkins run at 175 was smoke and mirrors too, but he deserves respect for stepping up.

I was not happy that Canelo won, but he did win it, no doubt about it. People have used his age for an excuse, maybe his shoes were too big, or his dog ate his fight plan. As I always say, excuses are like people's behinds, everyone has one. When the conspiracy theories start, maybe the butler was dressed like a referee, not too far past from Halloween. Or maybe all the excuses come out, because a lot of betters lost money. All the things that happened to him are of his own failure, to behave like an adult, everyone is responsible for their own actions. I have never made any strange accusations when one of my favorites lost. The better man won. Next thing you know, Canelo's entourage were at the Grassy Knoll.

No excuses from me other than that it's not a prime Kovalev and I don't even consider this an excuse since people have been saying this since after the 2nd Ward fight. Everyone knows that Kovalev is on his last legs. I even picked Canelo to win based on that reason since I knew Kovalev was there for the taking any time soon.

Did you actually read my post? I addressed that. The reality check still stands for Canelo against every other top dog at light heavyweight. Yeah I was in denial, but if you think he does that well against Gvozdyk, Bivol or Beterbiev, you're the one who's now in denial.

I do not think that Canelo does well at all against Artur Beterbiev, Bivol, and Gvozdyk, they would kayo Alvarez. I picked Kovalov to stop Canelo late, I was wrong, the sun will be up tomorrow, it was a good win for him, fair and square.

Stop. It's pathetic. "Lara had to come 160" FOH.

D-Chenko ran GGG a lot closer than Korobov did Charlo, but that rematch isn't happening. Besides, GGG could've fought Charlo before the Korobov fight even took place so your fangirl excuse doesn't work.
